Use the black backround for the tutorial, then click the black background with the magic wand tool, inverse the selection, and transfer to white.
Anyhow, I'm using this too. It was the first text one that came up in the search, lucky you ;)

nice tut, mabey you should use wind effect before liquifying it. Turn the text 90 CCW, filter->stylize->wind->from the right then turn it back 90 CW and liquify it ;)
yeah, i know that only that it wont make much of a difference since u are liquifying it already.
