ok hm. I don't agree with your render choice because it is too big and lacks something. The sig overall seems a little too dark, maybe a brightness/contrast layer over the top? The text is the main focus of the sig as well, not really sure if that was your target-but from my perspective that is the main target. Ya, its the render's face that really needs some work, it is just soo plain. Its decent of course, but it lacks what your metal sig had. What i suggest is lose the render all together(if that is ok with "aids" rofl) and make is straight up wood. I really tried to give you some constructive feedback. Hope it helped :)!
