I think you have too much brushing. You filled the entire image with brushing, and I don't think it looks like fire. Maybe manipulating some real fire would give a cool effect. But of course I understand that you wanted an abstract feeling to it since you used abstract brushes. And you should have worked more on the tower itself, I guess you just chopped it right off and rotated it a bit, then brushed over it. More details on that part would lift the picture pretty much.
I'd say keep working on this, there is room for improvement, and I think it can become really good with more detail.

Overdone on the brushing IMO, would have looked a little better with dumbed-down brushing.
