Console:
X-Box 360 is much much small then its previous console, but appears to hav too much in front like it's previous console.
PS3 has a slick, clean, smooth look to it, but is way too big in my personal opinion.
Overall: PS3 comes out better with the cd-insert drive, but in the long might become a major problem if a cd gets jammed.
Controls:
PS3 has a over the top design but wireless like the X-Box 360's.
Everything goes together but the handles look like half a steering wheel.
X-Box 360 is a very nice upgrade to it's old controls.
And a very welcoming sight to see from the "box" makers.
Overall: I gotta give it to X-Box 360, just a modifed but simple up grade to a really nice before hand control.

Saw the pictures earlier today (kinda late, eh) - and truthfully I'm not that damn impressed with how it looks at all. I enjoy the look of the ps2 a lot more.
Although, the power of the system is nothing to be angry with =). I'd like to turn it into a computer considering it will only cost in the 300 dollar range, and is very powerful!
I will discuss more when I'm @ computer, I'm on my cell at the moment and its not as easy to type.

Well I agree with you, dont like the new look, though i saw a black version today and it looks a hell of a lot better than the white.

I think they could of done a better job with the design but it does look good in black and it will match my PSP. Also they probably will redesign it like they did with the past consoles.
