What a silly thing to do. O.o
Go walk in a parade to let everyone know you do drugs? What on earth could be the point? People need to stop being so insecure :/

Lots of people use it medicinally, most my friends have medical cards for it. Dispensaries are all over the place now.
And the point is to someday completely legalize it, it's already legal on a state level in a lot of states.
Going out in large numbers hurts the process, it doesn't help it. People think everything is like civil rights or something, and you just do things in large crowds and people listen. In a case like this, a lot of people are afraid that legalizing pot would lead to a bunch of young people becoming potheads. So you hold a meeting where people can see thousands of young pot heads on the news? That only makes things worse and has people saying "I told you so." I guess that strategy makes sense to a pothead. O.o
If you wanted to actually make a point, all people who supported legalized pot would hold gatherings and do everything but smoke pot. To show that they are A) not addicted, and B) normal people who refuse to be defined by a drug. Or just do the whole smoking in large crowds thing and increase stereotypes, I'm sure that will change minds.
Thankfully the potheads are dumb enough to slow down their own silly cause. =D
I honestly do not get why people even bother trying to get it passed. I can almost guarantee it will never get passed. The only reason it would get passed is if the government have complete control over it, but weed is too easy to sell in a black market.
^Too lazy, but basically, saying it's bad because of young smokers is like saying we should ban alcohol and cigarettes because a small percentage of people choose to drink or smoke underage. Basing your presumption of marijuana off the notion that it's a bad influence on young people and or that too many of them smoke it is misconceived. Marijuana was decriminalized here, but only for adults, and it was also made legal for patients who use it as medicine. It's not for kids to smoke up with their friends, that's just one of the bi-products of it. These events aren't full of kids, the one in Boulder is held on a college campus and was full of adults. More adults smoke it then young people do, and from all walks of life, it's not just something your typical 'pothead' or 'stoner' enjoys nowadays.
I'm not gonna discuss it any futher then that, because there's no point. It's not gonna change anyone's opinion that differs from mine. Especially those who have never experienced it first hand.
Oh, and btw, I don't smoke anymore, I just support it.
Edit: I'm not the one that closed this topic. :/
Nor me. I have no idea why it was closed, or by whom.
Yickety yack and I'll be back.
ha, well I was done replying to it anyway, but if others still wanna post it it then, then that's up to them.
ya I closed it, I didn't want it turning into a giant debate about pot laws. if you want it open thats fine with me tho.
