Yeah I had a feeling the first time around that SP2 was causing your problem, and now I'm sure. Reinstall without the SP, and see how that runs. SP2 isn't all that important if you protect yourself well in other ways.
Haha, I have like five anti spyware/virus programs running... and i ad-aware and other stuff like three times a day (because I'm paranoid like that.) Well... used to, I have to find all the discs. Erg I just wish that I didn't reinstall and get SP2, because then the BSOD was just a memory thing. Ah well.... :( I'll reinstall over the weekend~ Thanks for the help ^_^
No problem. Please let us know if you have any further difficulties.
SP2, is the devil. I never use it. It worthless, only slowsdown my system. I use windows media center 2005, best windows OS, besides windows server 2003 or course =D
I only have XP pro though. o__o Ah well. No time to reinstall.... right now I'm doomed to use other computers with slow internet and no photoshop or anything. Actually, my computer has been okay, it just crashes sometimes, usually when I have a lot of stuff open. Probably just a coincidence tough.... the page I get when I report the error is still either a page that says I need to fix my BIOS, or my drivers. Blah. >__> Anyways, thanks again for all the help everyone! ^_^
Well actually windows media center 2005 runs almost exactly like xp pro.
Thank god you don't have home, it sucks ass.
Im surprised restoring your pc, didn't fix the problem. It maybe a hardware problem also.
I ended up not reinstalling... my computer is running fine now, it only restarted... once today. ... Thats good enough for me >__> I guess all my problems are okay now, so .. yeah. Thanks for everyone's help! ^_^
Glad to see things worked out.
I had a problem with my old computer caused by SP2...Reinstalling windows and never touching SP2 again fixed it. :P
If it's crashing when you have a lot of stuff open, maybe your using all of your VM and the system shuts itself down? Seems like that could be it. Your computer is like "Ah shit I can't handle it!" and dies.
