weird i cant find that nglayout.initialpaint.delay thingy :o
weird i didnt really notice anything different or does that nglayout.initialpaint.delay thingy plays the important thing of making it faster?
Oh, My interent is really slow, Im suppsoed ot get 3Kb/ps but only get 1000. .>.<
it my config page doesnt seem to have this line "browser.turbo.enabled"
Just got the Fox, works well though I think they took out the "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" line since the original posting. I still will keep IE for Nostalgia, my parents and because I'm a hardcore Microsoft nut.
I figured it out you have to add the "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" line by right clicking anywhere on the About:Config Page and selecting new>Interger.
I got firefox the week it came out :P
and as for the speeding up thing, I did that about a year ago, and it's still working good for me. The only problem with the pipelining, is that when you go to a site, it sends 30 requests to it, which means the site is sending the page to you 30 times, which will in time make the website a hell of a lot slower. IT happened on the site where I first heard about this. The site had about 1m members, and was going smoothly, until everyone knew about pipelining, and then it was a lot slower from then on.
Just a warning that if everyone keeps pipelining, some sites will end up being a lot slower.
