Bush on Vacation

only thing i picked out of there that pissed me off was the statement about him continuing to read to the children after he heard about the terrorist attack.

would it have been better to get up in the middle of the reading and frighten the whole class or to take the 5 minutes to make sure to not alert them? did those 5 minutes break us? no.. the terrorist attack had already happened, it wasn't like he was told they were on the way and he had 4.99997 minutes to react before 5000 lives were lost

however, don't confuse my statement, i'm not trying to say we didn't know it was coming.. that was just stupid intelligence, not really bush's fault

Well he wouldn't have had to say "kids the country is attack and I have to go." He could have just said "something important has come up and I won't be able to finish the story children, but i'll try to come back at a later time." I hardly think that would throw the children into a panic and damage them for life.

Also what if there were more planes in on this. Those 5 minutes could have meant saving thousands of lives.

I agree, because he wasn't reading to a group of older children, he was reading to kids in like 1st grade or something, so they wouldn't pick up on what is really happening when they go home, as kids at that age wouldn't watch or understand the news.

It's better to just say a small lie if it meant saving people's lives, then to not lying and lose hundreds of lives.
