I think you can only get rid of it if you disable it. I forget how to do this, but it isn't that tricky. You might need one of the apps in "Powertoys for Windows XP", which is a little series of applications that allows you to customize MANY of your Windows XP settings without having to learn what all the registry codes do.Quote:

You can delete a registry key somewhere that will remove the recycle bin from the desktop. Check auto delete files in the Recycle Bin properties, and then navigate to the registry key and delete it. As to what the registry key is, I forgot :lol:
