The only good j-rock band is (was) X-Japan. All the others suck real hard. The only kool with them is their looks, their visual kei looks.
All forms of j-pop sucks even harder, it's just copies of the western music, but worse. Japanese techno is kool though, like Rumenige and Takkyu Ishino. And those who think techno is the same as dance, you really need to check out the thread I am just about to post.

dir en grey is awesome, alot of random j-rock bands have nice songs.... but rabies is right alot of it sucks and japanese techno is the shiznit :lol: and their hair is awesome :P

You've got some good stuff on your list. I see you got New Order but not Joy Division, what's that about? lol. (New Order came from Joy Division after the lead singer, Ian Curtis, hung himself) I just ordered a copy of Substance and i'm ordering a copy of Still when I go to pick the other one up.
