Rain Animation Tutorial

I tried this on a picture I found on the net... but I couldn't make the rain move on my blog. It blogs as a still image with some dotted lines in some places. Does anyone know why that happens? (It works fine on my computer in windows viewer)

This tutorial is sweet! :) I was looking for a cool animation effect to make a so-so grpahic light up . . and this effect really does the trick. :)

Maybe you can add some layers with "points" on the chars. It seems rain fall on the char ^^ Like this:

That's exactly what I used it for! I didn't use this tut but this is how mine came out!

It is easier if you also make the rain into a brush so that you can paint with it.

im a noob at all this and never did an animation, but even i understood it. great job

Very nice work pleymo, I your english is great I understood every bit of it and it was even better of how easy the tutorial was. I was supposed to do a project for my friend on the Jolley Rogers (Pirate skull flag) but I couldn't find a proper blending mode for it to go into so it looks kind of badly animated however I am trying to etch it up a little here it is.

I been using this tut since it was posted but now im on CS3 and the motion blurs arent coming out differently they always look the same. BIG problem, im gonna try it on my CS2 on another PC but i think something got changed in 3 =(

EDIT* As i suspected, the noise and blurs are random on CS2 but not on CS3, there has to be a way of making them randomize right? Someone help me out here i really dont want to use CS2 just for a rain effect =S
