NOAH'S ARK:

Because the Ark was descriped in Our Book "Quran" how it looks exaclty .. and the ark is on top of the mountines which ask urself how did a ship that big got on top there ! its a miracle .. and like i said scientists know more than us.

its written in the Quran:

"We (once) sent Noah to his people, and he tarried among them a thousand years less fifty: but the Deluge overwhelmed them while they (persisted in) sin. " 029.014

P.S: Mount Judi what is known as now Mount Ararat or the oppisite side of Mount Ararat in Turkey

So The 2 Questions are .. one of them is the scientests trying to explain how did a big ark like that rested on a mount ?

2nd Question the Quran is was written by the words of God before 632 AD and says exactly were the Ark is before they Discovered it in 1958 .. so the book is telling the future and nobody can tell the whats the futue except for almighty God !!

Ok..first off..I think it would be physically possible if given some thought

1. The ark was not a small boat..it was around 200 yards long+

2. The wood could last 2000 years because..if not..it probably wouldn't last a flood that wiped away the earth over a 40 day/40 night period...

3. 2000 years ago..there weren't as many species of animals around back then as you might think...over time they developed..just like a human does..it is born..then it can change over a period of time...So it would be possible to fit 2 species of animals on an ark that was over 200 yards long..

4. Noah took a period 120 years (I think) to build the his Ark..I believe if you took that much time to build anything you would want it to be perfect and stable now wouldn't you?..

1. All of the species in the world still couldn't fit in 200 yards

2. Wood can soruvive a flood, especially if it is a boat. The "flood" (that never happened) made the world essentially one big ocean, no? Boats are made for oceans. It would still erode, no wood lasts 2000 years.

3.Evolution and species creation happens over millions of years. The same species that are around today existed back then.

4. We are not talking about stabability. You could spend 120 years on a house, for example. Visit the house 2000+ years later, you will find a pile of mold, if anything.

5. Not a compelling argument.

It is possible for a boat to survive that long. However, the condition would be very poor. The situation i beleive, would be in the sea or ocean. The boat is at the bottom, and it collecting algae and grime. This helps keep the wood underneath ina relatively new condition ( for 2000 years old anyways.. ) and stops it collapsing.. But i don't think you'd ever be able to find it becuase it'd be buried under so much stuff that it'd be impossible.

I glanced at the link Ellusionist posted and it said it was found on top of a mountain..so my guess is after the flood was over the boat landed on on a large moutain/plateau and after 2000 years it would have eroded to what a moutain could be today... makes sense to me!

whoa, dude! your logic is reminescent of a 4 year olds! even the titanic eroded would not be the size of a mountain. ellusionist said it is the tallest mountain in Turkey. No ship could erode to the size of a mountain. Besides, they said they found on the mountain, not as one.

I'd say I belive in god, but not as a person, more like a spirit if even that. I think he is in everything, everywhere, not as an object. Sometimes I doubt it too though.

Say your boat did fit two of every species on it. Not only would the resulting inbreeding wipe out that species within a few generations, but WHERE DOES THE WASTE GO?! You have that many animals shitting on your boat, what do you do with it? Well you do what anyone would do... you throw it in the water... with the decaying corpses of every other human being and animal on the planet. The resulting disease would quite EASILY contaminate the water resulting in the death of every animal IN the water...

So the rain stops, the floodwater... i dunno disappears or something, evaporates lets say. Although there was enough of it cover the world and its tallest mountain, it just disappeared. Ok so whatever, the water goes away "somehow", the boat lowers to the top of a mountain, luckily, every species of animal on earth knew how to climb down from a moutain. But they're hungry... Because although the boat was big enough to hold 2 of every species... it couldnt POSSIBLY hold enough food to feed 2 of every species.

So undoubtedly the gorillas ate the smaller monkeys, the dogs ate the cats, and the lions ate whoever they felt like. So whoever is left after 40 days, needs some food. But the earth has just been saturated for just over a month... EVERYTHING IS DEAD. Everything. Since the water was so deep, AND IT WAS RAINGING (clouds come when it rains btw) no sunlight could have possibly reached the earth in over a month. I suppose you could POSSIBLY have some sort of water plant in there, but without sunlight, I doubt anything grew anywhere. So everytihng is dead, except Noah and friends, and 2 of almost every animal on the planet, except fish, they're dead too.

So the animals are immensely fucked. And by now the small animals are so boney and malnourished they're harldy worth eating, so what do we do now? Well theres a bunch of waterlogged dead bodies around, but they've been decaying for a month and are so infested with disease that surely the animals would die if they were to eat them. I bet the animals and shit, Noah himself, are probably pretty thirsty, but the water is undrinkable because when you dump boatlods of shit into the water for a month and a third your bound to get some ecoli in that sumbitch at some point. So here we are, 6 or so people, and 2 of just about every animal on earth, on top of a mountain, with no food, and no water... for the rest of our lives.

But its ok, cause here comes GOD to fix everything... with magic.

Im new to these forums and its great to see different views on religion and God, but if there is no God, how did we get here? how were we as humans created? how do we have a conscience to tell us the difference between wrong and right?&#33;?&#33; This world is far too complicated and sophisticated for me thats why i have Faith in Jesus and in saying this am open to criticism but there are others with different faiths and beliefs who are too afraid to say so, but I have said it and im willing to defend my faith and beliefs, which im hoping i wont have 2 in here. Really great to see the non-violent discussion of Noah and his ark.

I think you&#39;re missing my point though. A written word, no matter how "perfect" it may be (I dont know arabic, nor have I read the Quran so unfortunately I dont know what you mean lol) cannot be used as proof of the existance of God. I know, simply from speaking mostly to you throughout this debate, that you take your religon very seriously, but beyond that I cant accept anything you&#39;ve put forth as truth because you havent offered me anything other than quotes.

I could bring you my biology textbook, plague you with anthropology quotes and describe to you the chemistry of the human DNA structre and you would not accept that as truth either.

So, I think until someone can bring something new and prolific to this debate, that you and I ellusionist, have reached a stalemate.

This world is too perfect for it to of &#39;just happened&#39;. When i say perfect i mean that if the earth was 100m closer to the sun we&#39;d die from the heat and 100m further away from the sun we&#39;d die from the cold. And everything in this world and the different life cycles and humans is far to complex and complicated for it to have just come into existence. Therefore in seeing all this evidence there has got to be a bigger explanation - God.
