yeah, sorry I meant Siddhartha Gautama I added an extra A in there on accident. Siddhartha Gautama is "The Buddha", or at least it was his name before he was enlightened. The quote is called The Kalama Sutra, if you do a google search for that term you can find some nice pages to print out and tape to your wall. The Buddha was a brilliant teacher, and I love his teachings. I think the current state of Buddhism is kind of sad, and some of it goes completely against his teachings...just unfortunate.

There is something called seeking the truth .. or comparing between stuff even though my religion is islam but im still searching .. and trying to find what makes sense .. not just going by it because i was born muslim no !

we all know that buddhanism was created by a humen and i think everybody knows that .. so i wont go with buddha thing .. even though three of my friends are buddhas .. but after i showed them the proofs and the logical things .. they left buddhanism .. and starting to want to learn more bout our religion .. because they r not blind like ppl nowadays .. most ppl nowadays u bring them proof they Say "oh thats not a proof" i think they r just saying that because they know its the truth .. that there is a One God .. and he had Prophets that lived on this earth.

Then they can tell them why they chose to not believe and have u ever thought when you die Ellusionist you were serving the wrong God? That you infact had to believe in Buddha or in the salvation of Jesus Christ, what will you say? You are trying to argue with men who have obviously made up their minds and have enough 'proof' to not believe in a God or One God and thats their decision. Does it not say in the Qaran that all men were created equal and that you should love you neighbour!?

Metalskin and Unit43, you have shown some valid points and i respect you view and when i saw that quote thought about it but still religion, or my religion isnt about proof or enough physical evidence because there is none. It is about faith and having enough faith to live you whole life and then dying and having faith that when you die you will meet God and he will judge you for the life you lived according to the Scriptures.

there is one God we worship and its the God of all Prophets as well :D so there is no wrong God .. :D

Allah is the name of the true One God in the Arabic language. In the Hebrew language His name is Eloh, Elohim for respect. It is well known that when a word is borrowed from one language to another it’s spelling and pronunciation is often altered. It is, therefore, reasonable to say that Eloh and Allah are names of the same Deity of Abraham believed by the three monotheistic religions of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Islam is the most rigorously monotheistic religion among the three dedicated to the worship of Allah, never seen by a human eye.

so our God is the Same of the jews God .. and i think the chris is based on the judi...as well :D

I don&#39;t have an excuse, nor would I make one. If I am judged by "a god" (a god according to Islam, Judeuism, or Christianity) I will simply say "I spent my entire life studying religions, but did not pick one over the other. I adopted an amalgam of views, and lived a life I found to be "good". Whatever judgement is made, I am prepared for it."

Why do you keep bringing up the GFX thing? So what if my job is being a graphic artist by day? Muhammed was a simple merchant in the stead of Khadijah, yet he bore the message god. Wisdom comes from everywhere, not just established religious leaders.

I have read the Quran, the Torah, the Bible, Buddhist scripture, Taoist teachings, even the lessons of Confuscious. I have studied, for over 10 years of my life, every major religion (and some not so major). I am not an atheist, nor do i prescribe to any individual religion. I warn you again, do not make assumptions about me.

This statement really shows your ignorance to other religions. The Old Testament and New Testament are not "versions" of the bible. They are different sets of books, they come chronoligically one after the other. It&#39;s relatively safe to say that for the most part the Torah is pretty close to the accepted Christian Old Testament.

Didnt Mean That &#33; Damn .... by versions i ment, Bible versions shows that they are really not the same. Some leave out entire verses, others disagree on whether Jesus should be called God&#39;s servant or God&#39;s Son and plus more they delete what they dont want and they leave what they want &#33;&#33;. THE DAMN BOOK IS INTERPRETATED Thats what i ment by too many versions &#33;&#33; thats why our prophet came to correct these interpretations &#33;&#33;

You wonder why some people choose to reject islam as a religion with people like you making a mockery of urself, ur religion and being rude to others here -

I have several times decided to depart this thread, as its obvious that trying to hold an intelligent conversation about such maters is beyond the capacity of some.

Have to admit 43, some of your comments have been interesting. You have read more about the different religions than I have, though I most prob. have read a lot more about christianity. I always find it interesting to share experiances and thoughts about different religious subjects, but unfortunatly this may not be the best forum for that.

So I will once again say adios to this thread, though i suspect I will find myself dragged back into it again.
