Look at your bottom left side of your screen, there is a little dock (empty space). That is your Materials Manager. Click File -> New Material (Ctrl + N). Double click the material to edit it.
To apply it to an object, just drag and drop onto the object via the tree list or the viewer

so to get a good render, the key is the matrix extrude, so i cant see it cuz the image isnt showing
alrighty, all images have been updated and reloaded for this tut as well. . i kinda got tired of having my tuts have NO images, just doesnt reflect real well :P
but now you can all see what hopefully you like.
