If you're so gung-ho about your bible, then you should know where. Dont come rambling your mouth at me half-assed and unarmed. If you would read your own damn bible, then you would know where... but since you need proof I will find it. First of all, explain something to me your "Christians" or "Catholics" or whatever the hell you are calling yourselves...

If God is all loving, all encompassing love-y goodness... why does he need a hell to send the "bad" people? My take on your bible, there is no hell. As soon as I find the name of the book, then I'll let you know. But you should take a look at it. Why would God give us free will, and then punish us for it?

As for being hell bound... what can I say? You do what you're good at. If your bible is "correct" then I was always going to hell. So, I'm embracing a culture.

ok as a muslim .. i believe in god ... which the word god means in arabic "allah" ... and here is what we muslims believe in:

The Creator => It is only logical to believe that before anything was created there had to be a Creator. It is, also, only logical to believe that this Creator had to be an eternal being without beginning or end and that nothing could be like this Creator. It is this Unique Being Whom the Quran calls Allah the Lord, the Only Supreme Being worthy of worship.

Allah the Almighty stated this about Himself: He is Allah than Whom there is La ilaha illa Huwa (none who has the right to be worshipped but He), the ALl-Knower, of the unseen and the seen (open). He is the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful. He is Allah than WHom there is La ilaha illa huwa (none who has the right to be worshipped but He), the King, the Holy, the One Free from all defects, the Giver of security, the Watcher over His creatures, the All Mighty, the Compeller, the Supreme. Glory be to Allah! (High is He) above all that they associate as partners with Him. He is Allah the Creator, the Inventor of all things, the Bestower of forms. To Him belongs the Best Names. All that is in the heavens and the earth glorify Him. And He is the All- Mighty and the All Wise. (Ch 59:22-24)

When Allah the Most High decided to create the earth, sun, planets, stars, and the galaxies--- those that are known and those that are unknown to us-- He commanded them: "Be!" and they were. Almighty Allah said: Verily, His Command, when He intends a thing, is only that He says to it, Be!" and it is! (Ch 36:82)

As for the method of creation, it is unknown to us except what Allah revealed, which is that He created the heavens and the earth and the spaces in between in six days.

Allah the Exalted declared: Allah it is He Who has created the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them in six Days. (Ch 32:4)

These six days are calculated as Allah the Almighty's days. This means they are not like our days on earth, as we count the day according to the earth's rotation once around its axis and the year according to its orbit around the sun. Perhaps these six days are thousands of years, or even millions of centuries, by our calculation nowadays, or perhaps they are more or less than that. They might be something totally different by Allah's reckoning.

Allah told us that He created the heavens, the earth, and everything that is between them in six days, the established Himself on the throne of the universe. Everything submitted to His will; everything was indebted to Him; everything prostrated and showed reverence to Almighty Allah. He controlled the working of everything and everything needed Him. He is the One Who needs nothing and no one, but everything was everyone needs Him. All was complete. Allah the Almighty's will had been accomplished. The universe was created and had prostrated to Him as a symbol of its needs and its desire for sustenance and in submission to His will.

First of all, thank you to H.B.S for staying true to logic and rationality.
I have nothing against people who want to believe in god, in-fact two of my best friends are going to college to be youth pastors, so I have no problem with that. But you cant tell me that in any way shape or form the "bible" is logical, or even half-possible. Think about your options for a minute: on one hand you have a scientifically proven theory explaining the development of man, and on the other, someone who lives in the sky and has unlimited power over the universe did it... God and the bible are nice ideas of course, but those who believe literally that there is a god are painfully misguided. Take it for what it is, a set of suggested guidelines for living, and a way for the meek to comprehend the creation of the universe.

If you're going to believe in God, I hope you believe in Santa Clause too.
Look at it this way,
They can both see you all the time and know everything that you do.
They both reward those who are "good" (dont get me started on that either) and punish those who are "bad".
And if you do what they want you to, they'll give you all the nice things you've always wanted.

And I sincerely hope someone tells me that Santa Clause is merely a made up character... and hopefully you'll catch my point at the same time.

ok hell bound...I already know that the verse is not in the Bible..thats why I want you to find it for me aight?....God doesn't need Hell...he didn't create it you idiot..One of God's angels, Lucifer, betrayed God and went to create Hell..thats where God sends them...God has already won the battle of good and evil..so he doesn't "need" Hell at all...I'll tell you this, honestly I don't read my Bible enough at all but I know its the Truth and I know verses alright...I don't need to prove anything to an idiot on an online forum...if you wanna be "hell bound" then you will be. God already knows what your gonna choose in life. So if you choose that way then have fun in Hell I can't try and save you if your not willing to listen.

ok first off...give me a percentage of the biggest religon in the world...second off..I was raised up living this way believing this and that...why would I want to go against it? No I don't believe in Santa because there is no proof! I believe in God because there is proof! Many times in my life there have been miraculous things happen..When I went on a ski trip I found $100 laying in the snow...and I need money for an upcoming trip..and there it was...One day I needed a ride home from school...so I started walking home thinkin...what if I saw someone I knew and in the middle of that thought one of my friends called over and asked if I needed a ride home...You can believe what you wanna believe but Santa Claus doesn't make miracles bud..

So... basically you just said you believe in "God" because your parents told you to... This is your argument? Here, take a couple days and rethink your stance, I'll wait here, and when you've got something worth saying we can discuss it.

Santa clause may not create miracles, but neither has "god"... bud.
coincidence: An event that might have been arranged although it was really accidental.
miracle: A marvellous event manifesting a supernatural act of God.

Nothing to marvelous about fining someone else's lost money (which had you been a good little Christian you would have returned to the rightful owner, stealing is a sin, but I dont need to tell you that)
Seems to me God used to do a lot of talking back in the day, like full out speaking to the people... I dunno about you but I havent heard from the dude in years, 21 to be exact. Where's your explaination for that? Proof god exists? I see tsunami's wiping out millions of people in a month, terrorists killing for THEIR god (explain that), and even more murders than ever before. If you ask me Id say God has more need for Hell than ever.

P.S, dont get all bible on me, Ive read it too. Read something other than your religious propaganda before you argue, unless your afraid you might be wrong...
