Cannabis

I got mashed last night. Was ace. But... i don't do it much :) I could've been fine without it, but i was walking past my mate and i said i was going to a party and he asked if i wanted any.. like fair play ^_^. Probably won't do it again this month... or unless there's another party y'all!

I rarely post in Clashing Opinions threads, but seeing as this has been a widely debated topic, I might as well just voice my opinion.

I don't do drugs, and I personally don't feel the need to do drugs or smoke. Several of my friends smoke weed, and I'm fine with that. It's their personal decision, and I'm sure they have legitimate reasons for doing so. What I don't like are the people in my area who think they're better than everyone else because they do smoke weed. They act as if smoking weed makes them a "rebel" in their little bubble of the suburbs. I don't know if this is the case in other communities, but I don't blame this on the cannabis, I blame it on the people.

I simply hate the way that the youth of today think that doing drugs and smoking ect is "cool" when it just makes everyone else think you're a prick.

Youth of today? Thats generalizing a bit much, thats like the average convienence store clerk who watches a teenager like a hawk when he/she comes in cause the clerk assumes the teen is going to steal.

Why should you care whether someone thinks doing drugs/smoking etc is cool anyway?

Because by saying so he can try to elevate himself above people and think he is better then them, because he does not wish to smoke cannabis. I have nowt against you just ... basically is what you said / meant :|

i think everyone here has their own point of view about this subject and there is no way were all going to agree on something. I don't care who doesn't or does smoke really. I myself do smoke weed. now i know it's bad for me and i know it kills brain cells and all that but it's not something i do every
day or even every week. most people i know that smoke do it at parties and it's more of a social thing. I have to say i've met some really cool people while smoking a bowl with them. In fact i was at a party with a few friends and we went to go smoke with a few people we knew and I ended up talking to a Junoir at Harvard. So pot doesn't make you dumb, your only as smart as your willing to be. I think pot is a great way to met new people and if your one of those people that doesn't want to smoke then thats fine by me.

It's like somebody asks me "have you ever had a fag" I reply with "of course not" and then they walk away as if I have Influenza H5N1. Thats the thing I hate.

Well if you say "of course not" then maybe they will, don't make it sound like you're fucking better then everyone by saying "of course". People smoke get over it. You may not try it... i won't care. but just say no i haven't instead :/ Depends how you word things... if you say it like that you're going to get a negative reply, which is why your other post looked so degrading / blunt (heh.. blunt... haven't really tried a blunt! :P ... that's for the next sessioN! :P )

if you said "nahh man, that shit is whack!" they wouldn't have looked at you in such a way.. i was at a party and i was fucking drunk to fuck couldn't remember shit some chavs came and this houseis literally fuill bynow these 2 guys were taking coke in front of me.. me being to fucked to realise what the hell was going on i got like nervous that chavs were here and i'm dressed like a frigging emo.. then like i said some shit.. something that they can relate to .. and next minute we're fuckign laughing about all kinds of shit.. me being high as fuck to it was amazing.. just because they smoke doesn't mean they'll hate you or think you're weird because you don't it's the way you've acted to them swabs.. loosen up..

i started smoking cannabis about 4 years ago. now im 16 and it has never had a side effect on me or any of my friends but i will say it has kinda slowed our social lives cos we dont like go anywhere anymore or do anything and the only thing we speak off is cannabis but it has never lead to anyother drugs so im still living and still smoking
