actually red wine is most prob healthier. Substances in red wine (such as flavonoids or resveratrol) help reduce LDL cholesterol, and elevates HDL cholesterol. 'LDL' is the bad one, HDL is the 'good' one. Of course these substances are in grape juice as well.
Due to a 60 minutes report a while back, the idea of drinking red wine came to the public attention. As we all know, 60 minutes is a brilliant source for medical and life style advice, I mean, they're so driven by improving the world </sarcasm>
I should note that red wine (especially Pinot Nior) has a higher level than non processed grape juice. But then Tea has shown to have similar levels of white wine, and grape juice, which overall is healthier for you.
i have yet to see any studies of Dope containing substances which have a proven benefit to your health. Oh sure, it appears that for pain management in cases of arthritis and so forth it is good, but i'm not aware of any serious studies into it.
Personally anything that affects the chemistry of your brain has to be considered very carefully. Especially when no one knows what the full impact is, either as a casual smoker or as a regular consumer.
Would anyone here accept drugs from a pharmaceutical company that said it will make you healthier but it does affect the chemistry of your brain? I reckon the answer would be no without serious study into it. The only reason dope gets past this is because people enjoy the 'high' and then look for reasons to justify their use of it.
