You can't see gravity but you still believe in it.
What kind of evidence do you want??, there is evidence of the almighty god's existance in nature and thy has sent messengers to warn us about his existence. Now tell me which one you would like to know about.
Well do you have proof to back this statement.
People do not say gravity is a person who can do anything, that just sounds ridiculous IMO, and gravity is scientifically proven, Science points to God being peoples imagination.
There is no evidence of his excistance in nature, there is evidence of evolution. Messengers, what messengers? You mean people that are in a story book called disyples (SP)
Do you have proof to back your statement?
This is the most moronic shit ever....Man I hate evangelists.
Nature: there is more proof of the theory of evolution than there is of god, also evolution is a logical process that is happening in the plants and animals as we speak. Much more believable than "oh lolololol god created epharything!!!111one"
Gravity: We cant see it, but we can feel and experience it's effects. Whereas "God" we cannot see and we cannot experience anything that may have has done/is doing.
I dont see the point in believing in something if there is no proof of it's existance. And dont come back with "but there's no proof he doesn't exist!" because imo the very lack of positive evidence is enough for me.
In my opinion religion is the creator of false hope and all conflict.
You can carry on being a slave to some rules written in a novel all for the sake of going to a non-existant place after death if you want. But please, don't try and get me to bend over too.
What he said.
the big thing people are forgetting is that they God and Science can co-exist. yes, science tell us all about evolution and how thunder is made and all that mess but what about all the shit that went down before recorded history? it does sound foolish that one man and one woman propagated the entire planet so you can tell the stories in the Bible have been embelished but just cause we can prove what lightning is, that doesnt disprove God. Science will NEVER be able to answer the questions "why are we here" "where did we come from" and "what came first, chicken or the egg". but religion provides that answer in the form of faith. again, it cant be "proven" but for the people with absolute faith, it doesnt have to be.
Hmmm people believe in something where there is nothing suggesting it is real. So im going to believe that toys come alive and talk when we sleep.
People who believe in God should believe in that to, there is no proof of its existance, but there is no proof of it not happening so it must exist. Get my point?
Science can actually prove a whole lot of things....I'm pretty sure they have already found a very likely answer to chicken egg question.
The egg came first.
If you believe in the theory of evolution, then there was once a form before the chicken. Lets call this Chickoo. The chickoo gives birth to an evolved form of itself, and thus the chicken is created.
Therefore, the egg came first, because the Chicken evolved via an egg, it was not suddenly morphed from the Chickoo, into its current form.
The egg came first, its the female sex cell.
For everything said against God in this debate, there is a comment back from the Bible.
For existence: "Faith is being sure of what you cannot see and believing in what you don't know."
For destruction: God has said himself that he causes every good and bad thing in the World. Everything he has done for a reason. Example: If 9/11 never happened, the British/Trans-Atlantic Plane Bombing (July 2006) would have, and possibly killed more people. The World is safer now, because we (usually) pay more attention to things like this. Lives may have been lost, but not only did it happen for a somewhat good cause, but if they believed in God, they would have gone to heaven (assuming God exists, which I belieb, by the way).
For the End of the World: According to the Bible, when both natural and man-made disasters strike and many, many people are killed (like, a LOT. When the whole world faces a crisis) that is when our life on Earth will end. Something like that.
For the Chicken or the Egg: I would imagine the chicken came first, if God created every creature (Genesis). He would have created the chicken, which laid the egg.
I'm sorry, but no one could create God. At least, at the time. According to my History lessons and knowledge (:P), the Churches would tell everyone terrifying tales of the Devil, and what happens if you don't worship God. The first ever English Bible was published around this time. As the Church was very powerful (as powerful as the King himself), they would have had the ability to change what is inside the Bible to match their teachings.
If they had changed it, the Bible would have been a horror story, telling us what happens if we don't worship God. Instead, the Bible tells us what happens when he do worship God. There is nothing gory or horrific inside the Bible. So, it couldn't have been a stupid story written by a bored peasant, really.
