i'm 18 years old and have gone through my whole party stage already. i smoked weed, and drank for about 2 years or so. it wasnt worth the trouble and wasnt heading me in the right direction. all i cared about was the next party, the next sack. it brang me down for sure.
i dislike it when people go and say 'weed is the best thing on earth!' and everyone should smoke weed. its your choice but dont build it up like your some salesmen selling the next hot toy. its easy for kids to get curious and lured into the drug world when your out preaching mary jane.
i have cleaned up this past year and was baptized. then claimed straight edge.
i just dont think drugs and alcohol do anything for me and i want to set a positive example for my younger siblings.
note:i did not try to offend anyone here. just stating my reasons for NOT doing it.
and this mostly goes out towards younger kids. 40 year old hippies dont matter :)
I've changed my whole opinion on the subject. Weed is fucked up. Most potheads I know are burnouts who will never go anywhere in life. And I dont want to be that person so I wont do that shit.
This is though i've noticed the people who smoke weed have been doing it in unicen with something else.. like dirnking... i'd never drink much, partying? i mean i'm a bloody recluse most of the time...
Now doing it with influences fucks you up, like doing i under pier pressure, now when i've smoked weed i do it to just sit back, relax and just hang out in my house or something ... i'd never do it to impress because that leads to other things and other things turn out bad.. you just have to know the limits of what people should take... i mean people make it out like if you smoke weed you can't help it but you take heroin or cocain.. but it's nothing like that.. i've never even smoked tobacco before even though i've smoked weed... if you can't handle staying to your limits you don't deserve to have a say in where people go wrong with this shit... you have to know what you're doing and not do it for others..
When people smoke weed and don't do anything else, that's when it becomes a problem. Most of productive society today smokes pot regularly, and these people function fine.
I am a person who chooses to indulge, not use or smoke, pot. Marijuana is a plant that grows from the Earth, and we should be able to smoke it by right. When it comes down to it, smoking a joint is definetly healthier for you than smoking a cigarette.
If people decide they don't wish to smoke herb, that's their choice. You say "don't bring it around and act like a salesman," and I agree! I agree more with you NOT coming around me and preaching how weed ruins lives and causes people to be lazy. The simple truth is: marijuana is NOT addicting, marijuana is a PLANT that is NATURAL, and anyone that wants to smoke it should be able to do so without being harrassed.

although i love weed. I'm also getting a masters in marketing next year or so.
No thanks...kids are getting thrown out of school and jailed for life because of that shit. Like againstallodds said...the kids we know who do weed are COMPLETE burnouts, and weren't smart to begin with. I guess it shows that heading down that path will lead to drugs, and weed can only take em farther down.
I'd prefer if you guys'd stop telling people to do something illegal...If someone here tries it, gets thrown in jail, and never sees their family again, may god wreak havoc upon you in your dreams and every waking moment.
I'd be willing to bet (this is my own opinion) that 50 percent or so of people wouldn't have even thought about smoking or whatevering pot if it was legal before they heard about it. GUAR-EN-TEE it!
Yeah people, recently in me and xtreme's school, 2 kids got 45 days suspensions for possesion of drugs. They pretty much ruined there lives by doing that shit. It just doesnt seem worth it to me and. Yes, I as well think its wrong that you guys are promoting this shit. Why promote a problem and make it worse?

First off, I don't think there is a law in ANY state, or country for that matter, with life imprisonment sentences for people having marijuana. Secondly, if your school is suspending people for 45 days for having drugs, THE RETARDS THAT HAD THEM SHOULDN'T HAVE HAD THEM AT SCHOOL !!!!!
Do not blame the faults and ignorant antics of others on me just because I smoke herb. If you don't like it, hey, that's fine. Just realize that you are missing one of the best things in the world..
Another point - if people are smoking and dropping out of highschool, it's retarded. If people are bringing drugs to school, when they KNOW the school has a policy against it, they are retarded. When people blame smoking weed for ruining lives and causing people to use other drugs, it's retarded. Trust me - I've smoked for wayyyy too long.. it's not addicting.. it didn't lead me to do other drugs (I tried cocaine before I smoked weed or cigarettes.. LSD before coke.. and I'm still in school, not a burnout, and I'm not addicted to anything but tobacco..).

Smoking kills you.. but that was accepted into society and because people got addicted they didn't ban it, so maybe if weed was brought into society around the time of smoking i'm sure it'd be legal today ... as it drinking ...
