I just think it's a little too boxy, you know what I mean? The borders are too thick, and I don't really like the red lines that much. Keep working at it man, you got the right idea. =)

What about this piece, im not spending time on them because im just testing ideas out for now :)

that definately looks better...it has more flow and it's not so boxy. maybe add a little more detail like a copyright at the bottom maybe a little 'news' box or 'newest download' context box on the right.

hope that at least made some sense :P

looks better but i think you should round it off around the banner like you have at the bottom of the template
