What's your favourite genre of music?

Lol what kind of Metal (sorry for being tedious)? Heavy Metal? Death Metal? Black Metal? Goth Metal? Grindcore Metal?
My favorites have to be Heavy Metal (Metallica, Iron Maiden ect) and Death Metal (Gorgoroth, Slayer, Dimmu Borgir ect)

Yeah, be more specific... metal is a HUGE genre.

Oh and SgtSwabs, Dimmu Borgir isn't Death Metal, they're Black Metal :P. I think Slayer is closer to Heavy Metal as well...


I primarily listen to Death Metal, though I do listen to a little Black Metal and Folk Metal. Bands like Bloodbath, Nile, At The Gates, Cryptopsy, Hypocrisy, Behemoth, etc.

You're over-exaggerating, as some of those aren't actually real genres, but it's very unlikely that somebody listens to everything out there. Even if somebody did however, it would be nice for him to mention some specifics so people actually understand how varied his preferences are.

Gorgoroth is Black Metal and Dimmu Borgir is Symphonic Black Metal.

I'd have to say Black Metal and Hardcore are my favorites. Anything from Dark Funeral to Throwdown is cool with me.

Shurai - Metalcore is cool too.
