I got a job at Target, had to do two interviews in one last night but I got it. I impressed the interviewer so much... heh. I will be working the overnight shift doing backroom stocking. my hours will be like 10 pm - 6:30 am, 5 days a week, its gonna be sweet money.

I dunno man that seems to be pretty... hard. Retail isnt worth my time of day anymore its just too much pressure and way too hectic. Although the back room wont have any pressure. Hours kinda shady but if you like them thats straight.

i'll be making 8.50/hour starting. working 5 days a week, 8 hours a night. i should start training sometime next week, like monday or so. went and took my drug test today so i got that out of the way pretty quickly.
i'll be making roughly 300 +/- a week. which is over 1k a month. woot. :D
That hours aren't too bad but the pay isn't that great... How old are you?

You can do better being 18 man... (assuming you've worked for the past few years). If this is like a first or second year type of job then thats not bad at all.
Hopefully your back wont hurt... thats pretty painful -_-. Good luck.
this is my second job... due to everytime something comes up there is another thing that goes wrong (i.e. my car breaking down). and right now my car is messed up, i have a trasnmission leak and i can't drive it because i dont have any money to feed transmission fluid in it nor any money to fix it. i would have got a job at ups for 10.50/hour but my car started leaking right before my appointment with them. i dont mind though, because any money right now is good. B)
Money is good anyway it comes. It's going to be a hard job, and your actually going to be working for that money.
Most jobs you dont work for what its worth (ie: my job).
yeah lol... im 15 so i cant get a 'good' job but i can always do somthin around stores for money... im more part-time these days.. lol but i get about 500 a month doin it... on a good month at least lol
yeah once i start getting cash flow this is the order that i am gonna spend it as my paychecks come in:
1) fix my car
2) send car insurance money to the parents
3) buy/lease/rent my domain & server
4) lease a new wrx sti (pearl white f.y.i.)

my job is sitting at home and looking up on stocks to invest into, ive gotten some pretty good pay offs, i invested 1000$ into a diamond company, Tahera and i bought aty .1cents so pretty much nothing and i got 1million shares, and its gone up to 34cents but...i cant take out till im 19 witch is in 2yrs, but its pretty good, and stock investing is sometimes a good way to make money, some of the richest ppl invested in stocks and are billionaires,... i hope i can be one, one day lolz but congrats on the job^^
and 300 a week OMFG HOLY CRAP DUDE .... americans do pay cheap i guess lolz, most canadians make 100-500 a day lolz even at a part time job...
Minimum wage is different in every province :) BC has $8/hr while Alberta has $5.90 lol. But that will be raise in Sept 1. Still sucks being the richest province and lowest min. wage.
Congrats and good luck with the job. :) I work in a restaurant (not fast food) and only get paid $6/hr but I guess it's good experience since I'm still young.

edit: but i just wanted to know how he get started (i.e. contacts, setup, etc.). and no you don't need lots of money, you can invest however much money you want. and plus if i ever got into it i wouldn't start off by buying $100 shares and so on, i'd test the water to see if it was right for me.
well in canada you can invest when your 15, and you only need like 60$ or something and you can invest into some company thats new and if it goes up you make money, but all you really new is connections :)
but were do you live? i can look into whos your state stock broker and give u there phone number/email and you can phone them up and they will set up an account for you, thats all i did with Qtrade in bc phoned them up made a account and started
