30 minutes drawing. Used a basic graphite pencil and.. that thing.. for smoothing shadows and stuff.. whatever it's called.. Help me, 43.. xP
Taken with my digital camera, that's why the paper is gray. My own hand was the model.
Very nice. I like your shading and especially how you drew out the hand's curves. It's better than my entry, that's for sure. :lol:

I'm practicing drawing with my left hand, so I can draw with both my hands simultaneously = lessens the time and looks so awesome, saw some guy do it :lol:

I used to use mine all the time, but lately i've been trying to get away from it. It's a style thing. I new a guy that would use those almost exclusively. He'd draw a couple of really dark lines and the do the rest of the drawing using the blending tool. It was amazing, and really excellent looking drawings.
Anyway, good submittion. I'm going to send everyone a more in depth critique with their scores so I won't go into detail here. But, good work!

yeah, tortillian. i've never heard anyone actually call it that though. My middle school art teacher called it a tortillion. When I went to an art school in highschool the teacher called it a smudge stick... so go figure. All the people I went to school with called it a blander/shader.Quote:

Anyways, the paper isn't really that smudgy. It's just the camera that makes it look like it.
