I think led zeppelin - stairway to heaven has a cooler melody backwards, I used to have the whole thing backwards on a cd.
If you do a google search for "backmasking" there tons of stuff to look at. Some think it's coincidence, some think it's a subconcious voice our mind makes...
i heard that before..im thinking they made it like that..

Try it yourself. Download or borrow a copy of Stairway To Heaven from someone, recod it with windows Sound Recorder and reverse it. It's really there.Quote:

Yea, i figured some of them out. The ones where it says "indistinguishable" or "gibberish" for the starting one are ment that way, and i think the brittany spears one and the eminem one are ment to be like that. What is a si anyways? Lol. Imagine i don't know about, stairway to heaven doesn't sound anything like it if you dont have the lyrics in front of you, so its imagination, the Kiss kiss kiss is false, doesn't sound like it at all, just unfinished syllables, don't sound nothing like it if you cant see it. Empty spaces is defnietly made like that. The pokemon one is false, can't even tell. Another one bites the dust: false. Nature trail to hell: meent to be like that and the last one is false. On some of them you can tell it isn't what they say at all, but it kinda sounds like it. example:

meh. That's kind of the whole point. Is it an accident, is it some deeper force, or is it just our minds making it sound like we want to hear it.
I know that a few artists did similar things - including artists such as michael jackson (haha). Sometimes the backwards kyrics kinda freak me out... its kinda eerie.
Cradle of Filth - Dinner At Deviant's Palace backwards supposedly is the Lord's Prayer. I haven't checked it out myself, but knowing CoF, they'd do it on purpose.

CoF - Dinner at the Deviant's Palace is the Lord's Prayer backwards. I just did it myself. This is a case of intentional backmasking. Where they intentionall reverse a recording. Things like Queen's Another Bites the Dust (it's fun to smoke marijuana) are unintentional. There's a theory running around that says that this "backspeech" is a persons subconcious speaking, by altering the timing and accenting of there words. I've tried experimenting with it myself with some pretty interesting results. This is one of those things you're never going to prove one way or the other.
I think the most random of all of those is Satan eats cheezwiz. I forgot which one that was.

i was bored a few years ago and made all the songs i have backwards, and i have em all on my other computer. californication actually sounds really good backwards.

Me and two friends made a metal song where the text was sung by me in reverse, so that a Swedish satanic message was discovered while playing in reverse, haha.

most of them are actually accidental. i recorded myself singing most of them then played it backwards i could here it....then again the lyrics maybe on purpose...dun dun dun...
well most of this is complete bullshit tbh. i saw a documentary about it and it covered a trial agains judas priest (atleast i thínk it was them O,o). they were saying that judas had placed the words "do it" on purpose in one of their songs. when two kids bought the cd and listened to it for like 8 hours straight, they went to a park with a shotgun. the first one killed himself right away while the other one hesitated and then shouted "do it, do it, do it" and killed himself. the evidence that the parents loyers collected was something that sounded liek oooaeee but was supposed to represent do it. what judas did to prove their innosence was pretty fun. they got an album, played it backwards and whitin minutes they got something that sounded alot clearer than ooooaeee. it was something like this "please mom give me a peppermin, give me one noooow!" so all of this subliminal messanging and backmasking doesn't really have any base. if its a chistian message is it a message from god? if its satanic, from lucifer? teens, britney spears :huh:?
sometimes its done on purpose, like pinkfloyd's empty spaces. other times its just an accident, like stairway to heaven.
one way to get music backwards is to convert it to either MP3 or WAV (google MP3 to WAV converters), then use the built in recorder for windows, and flip the song around. makes some really cool songs imho. ill start doing some cold play tonight, and maybe upload them if i find anything cool to listen to.
