You can use a 3D program such as Bryce or Cinema 4D.
There's some tutorials on this site.
Oh, and welcome to the forums.
Well, the term render is used for the focus of an image, could be one of those cool 3d things, or just a cropped/blended image of a character, or vehicle, etc.. Welcome to GFX void, hope you find what you're looking for :)
Use Bryce! There's a tut on making a cool render for it in the Bryce 5 section! Also, if you want, there's one you can use that I made in Other Tutorials.
Welcome, yea it depends on what type of render.. just a character or an abstract ball or item.
While we are talking about renders I need to ask if its possible to the the same renders with 3d studio max? Ive got 3d sm 6. something. But anyhow Iam a newbie with 3d programs, still I went to a computer school but those computers fucked up my grades  , but that is an another story.
But it is possible right?
Yeh of course... i've never seen any 3dsmax renders nor do i know anything about them.
Blue Sfear has some 3Ds max tuts. Check for how to do cool renders there!
Wow they're pretty nice, i like them !
I have seen them before, but those tutorials arents as good as the bryce tutorials on this forum...Quote:

Well I can always try to learn 3d studio max from 3dkingdom
Maybe 3DSMax is better than all? I've never used bryce but 3DSmax owns C4D.
3Ds Max is good for stuff like movie editing. As for cool sig renders, Bryce owns!
Well I seckond that with movie endingen, then Maya its much much much better.Quote:

There you have inbuilt programs that you can use for an example if you want leafs or hair moving in the wind. What Ive heard that doesnt exist in 3d studio max.
I've heard alot about Maya but i have never actually seen any of it's artwork....
Here you got a picture all made in mayaQuote:

Notification if that would be a movie you would see the water move and the hair move in the wind.
Edit:
Notes from the original designer:
"Full animatable character. More as 100 animated influence objects for body deformations. Facial expressions.Hair done with maya hair and paint effects converted into polys. Rendered with mental ray. created for fun and education purposes"
Now I know that I can do the same renders with 3d studio max as with bryce 5.
Thanks all.
Btw here is a link to a render made with 3d studio max.

Nice Maya render! I didn't know you could do that! I'll have to check Maya out!
P.S. Your 3Ds Max Image looks like something bryce could manage.
Its not me that have done the art. I was just showing what you can do with the program maya.Quote:

It got tons of filters so it is probably just as easy as bryce I think.
One in real life friend has told me about the fascinated filters.
