They are growing desperate... food and water supplies are running low. Its driving people to the extremes.
While tragedy can bring out the best in people, it can also bring out the worst.
They might not have full power back for 2 months :(
Personally i think they should put the whole place under marshall law. It's really a damn shame.
I think the damn government should do more to help, donate more money...Lots. Its fucking underwater for gods sake...
They should call it Ven Orleans!!!
Get the damn army in there with boats and then rescue them all, i know its not as simple as i think, but still do more than whats being done.
i say Americans are racist.
you Freak out when a couple of hundred WHITE people die in a Air plane and a building.
then a bunch of black people, Thousands. and not to much caring. wow nice job.
this is just towards some americans.
damnit madd i'm beginning to think you're me...
Most americans suck (don't let this reflect on you) but you shouldn't let these fuck ups present your country to be such a state right now is a real problem heck i even donated, they should pull all soldiers from iraq .. fuck oil, fuck osama, fuck war man .... america is in a dilema and i'd say let bush sit it out he'd probably ruin it more anyways
I have some firends down there. Lucily, they all got out in time. Pretty messed up though.
Ameriacans, "racist," lol thats more then a little offensive. Yeah we should do more to help and recall troops from iraq. And I really don't see how everyone of them is african american. And, oh yeah we don't care at all. I mean thousands of people die and it effects everday life across the country and you say the majority of people don't care. Well thats nice to say if youre in another country cus you don't know CRAP about what goes on here. Sure you are probably basing you're opinions on the fact that there are SOME americans that might feel that way and that you don't like the way our president does things. Well guess what. This disaster is destoying our economy. FUCKING 25% of all our oil and natural gas came out of that area. Now gas prices are skyrocketing. In about a month you sill soon see the true effects of that. Unemployment rates will rise, basic supplies will be more expensive, our trade is going to be fucked up cus that was one of the largest ports in our country. So yes this effects us all here and yes we all do care. You guys see that they are looting the city and yes thats a big problem. But let me ask you, where do you think the majority of our military's small boasts our. Well I'll tell ya, the frigin west coast thats where they are. So we physically can't get them in there fast. NE ways I am sorry for rambling but some peoples comments just set me off.

OK for those that wonder who wonder what the government is doing right now, well they declared marshal law do to all the problems in the area. Expect the area in full and complete military conrol by tommorow. They called in the U.S.S. Eisenhower to the area from the panama area. And for those that don't know that is an aircraft carrier. And about 18 ships escort carriers. So yes we are moving in a fleet with at least 40,000 troops to help gain control of the situation.
Thankyou, George Bush III, now nobody can post on this unless they have an opinion. Pshh, no one has that nemore... :P
Bullshit Madd, bullshit.
If your taking about 9/11 i should hit you...It wasnt a couple hundred...Try a couple thousands. Were not just gonna let them hit is, kill many people and let them do it again, we had to do something. If you think its not a serious matter then all i have to say is try living in the damn state, not even 100 fucking miles from where its happening.

meh thats gonna take ages to de-flood seeing as new orleans is below sea level
Lets just hope they get the levvee fixed. Then the rest isnt all that hard. Just takes a long time, maybe a month...Boy thats gotta suck.
yea, 9-11 was crazy, especially since i live 30 minutes away from where it happend, my grandma worked in the world trade center, and was THERE as it happend (she got out luckily, but lost credit cards and a lot of money and her job), and then for a week my dad went to ground zero every night to volunteer from 12-7 cuz hes a retired leutenant...
not that neone cares tho... o.O
I do, i live on LI, close to it. It really sucked and it was freaky, you didnt see anyone in the streets.
cant they just build back the levee then pump the water out with like 50 massive industrial pumps
while resucing people
That was pretty offensive MaDD. Truthfully, I tend to detach myself from negative sitations and happenings around the world. I don't like to get wrapped up in that stuff... its jut not for me.
New Orleans is descending into anarchy, but what is there to do? It's a fight for survival, there is no more food, no more water, of course people will resort to looting. Breaking the law to survive is justifiable. Except for those idiots stealing all the TVs and shit.
It is going to take months definitely before people can even start going back into the city. Right now, its like bailing out a bathtub with a spoon. Then they have to detox the entire city because of all the disease and garbage in the water. They might have to rebuild almost everything.
Like Crazygamer said, the economy is going to be affected, not only the US, but across the world. Already gas prices have increased even higher than the 1.00 last week.
I wonder if theyr gonna rebuild it  I mean, the same thing could happen almost any year. and again thousands would die. imo theres no point to rebuild it if it can be destroyed that easily. 1 big storm(well hurricane), thats it.
I read somewhere that iraq war takes up to 100-200 million dollars a day. And that making the dams/walls/whatever strong and high or whatever enough, to hold a storm like that would have taken about 700 million dollars.
A WEEKS pause in iraq war.
and imo the war is a big mistake.
dont say it has kept the terrorists out from usa, so its good. yeah their in europe now, in
european countries that are in the middle east, as allies of the usa.
but hey this has nothing to do with the hurricane.
and ob.
theres some very, VERY random things in that list.
Theres like 15 thousand people dying in africa in hunger. A DAY. most of them being children. nobody is freaking from day-to-day. And they dont have gas ratings to rise or stock exchanges to close, or vehicles to be destroyed. AND SOME OF THEM DONT HAVE FAMILIES TO GET THE REMAINS!!1
Then something happens in the usa. the whole world freaks.
Oh they will rebuild, eventually.. Im sure of it, when is anyones guess.
And what a dumb thing to say Madd, seriously stupid. It doesnt apear you knew much about either situation when you posted, maybe after reading other's posts you'd get the idea how wrong you really are. Sure, Im not gonna say all american's are not racist, because thats not true. On the other hand, its wrong to say they all are. Think before you post, its common sense.
And yeah, hunger in the world is a big deal, but those with the money to help it are really just too selfish to donate any to organizaions such as the Red Cross.
well im not dumb, i know a thing or two about the situation but i still think that people could be helping more than they are.
i didn't say all Americans are racist, but a lot still are. all the media coverage in Canada is kind of portraying that. its just how were seeing it here.
a lot of other countries are asking to help and America is denying it. WHY damn it we want to help, let us. Same with many other countries.
And if your to say most of America isn't racist is not possible and its illogical.
I hate America just as much, if not more then you do, but I still think that other nations have no right to ask for help or aid from others. They should handle it on their own, and if they can't then they don't deserve to be in power in the first place.Quote:

As far as New Orleans go, I really like the Marshal Law idea. There can't be any progress if morons are rioting, panicing, and becoming out-of-control.
Wow ob that's crazy..20,000 body parts? :(
At school some of the New Orleanians are coming to where I live. (city i mean)
I feel very sad for them, having lost the home in which they live! Also my teacher's family lived at New Orleans and she can't tell if their alive or not since the connection!
Never said i hated Americans Just racism and i never said that every American is a racist just saying a lot of it. Hmmm i wonder how many black people get caught on Cops today.Quote:

I didnt say you were dumb, I said what you posted was...
annnnnd I didnt say most were not racist, I said "Sure, Im not gonna say all american's are not racist, because thats not true. On the other hand, its wrong to say they all are."
most wasnt used in the sentance, I just stated its not 100% either way you go, its up to you to infer which side is which percent.
And I dont think it was very right of you to refernce such a horrible act of terrorism in such a way, but thats just me.
Frankly, being an American, it doesnt really bother me when those such as Deadoader and Redblaze say they hate America. Im getting disgusted of whats going on down there as far as looting, the fact people murder instead of help and such.. and I hate my prez. I live where I live and thats that, nothing can be changed about that.. moving cross country is a pain afterall :P .
wow you guys are bashing the U.S. after a hurricane? where does racism come into this, because people choose to live in groups/communities with thier own race? and terrorism, this is NOT terrorism and i see no reason to compare it to 9/11. no one could have prevented the storm from coming. even if the goverment would have built the levees stronger it would have costed money and then if a storm like this didnt hit people would be complaining about money wasted. also it was not just new orleans hit ;) it was mississippi was hit hard and even up to georgia the hurricane caused tornadoes wiping out homes and communities. it just blows my mind that even after a category 4 hurricane puts a WHOLE CITY UNDERWATER stupid people see it as a chance to bash americans and thier president. i am still trying to figure out where you got racism from wow lets go watch cops... that has nothing to do w/ a CATEGORY 4 HURRICANE. so next time you go about bashing a country after a tragedy try and think of all the people that were killed. http://i.a.cnn.net/cnn/interactive/w...r.02.flood.jpg
http://i.a.cnn.net/cnn/interactive/w...m/01.02.ap.jpg
WTF is up with all this America bashing. You have no right to call other people racist and then go on to tay that oh yeah i hate americans cus they are so fucking stupid. So let me ask you guys like red and dead, what the FUCK is your problem. We just had a disaster and this is a topic about it and all you can say is how much you hate americans. Well FUCK YOU. You are calling us racist, you should look at yourselves.
If all we are doing this war for then WTF are gas prices over 3 dollars a gallon when we have most of the oil lines under control in iraq? and fuck osama? o ya you didnt have anyone you know close to the world trade centers. fuck war.... how about fuck terrorism you forgot that one.....Quote:

let bush "sit it out" to ruin it more wtf is that like they are gonna let tony blair "sit it out" in britian? we are not the only people being attacked by terrorist. to ruin it more? did bush fuckin ask for a CATERGORY 4 hurricane to hit no so i suggest you think what you say before you say it because obviously neither you or madd did that in this topic...
We get about 25% of our oil from the gulf. And oh yeah lets not forget that a lot of our shipped oil came into those prots that got destroyed. So expect it to go over 4 dollars. Also this was a CATAGORY 5 hurricane. With 160+ mph winds, and 20+ inches of rain an HOUR.
right before it hit it was downgraded to a cat. 4 ;).
*edit* and if our oil comes from the gulf then why would people be bringin up the oil in iraq but then to bash americans and bush.
Holy shit ob, i live on Long Island too. O.O;; Holbrook to be exact :P
dude, around 75% of americans that are racist are that way because they're from a previous generation that was racist. If your talking about younger people, most arent, you see a lot of kids hanging out with all different racists. and you might say we're racist because we make racial jokes (lazy mexicans, black people love chicken wings, etc.), but thats just what they are, jokes. Do you think people like Dave Chappelle and Carlos Mencia are racist? i dont think so.
wow, a topic about a HURRICANE was merged with completly off-topic racist comments nice way to think of the victims.
well, sorry wicked, but i cant let them just bash america like that, i mean, we do have some shitty people and stuff here in the US, but when you think about it, theres shitty people everywhere in the world. And i do care about the victims, but what more can i say that hasnt already been said but ob, you, and crazy?
Fuck all this racism crap, nature doesn't discriminate, everyones the same in this tragedy.
This has gotten completely off-topic...
