I like the idea but it just seems to plain like add more stuff to the bg and make it look alittle more real and it would be pretty cool.
Any suggestions on what to do to the bg? like wut to add.

Im gonna sort of do something like this if its cool with you, Just for fun. =P
Instead of leaving the top menu part flat try to make them sort of beveled buttons.
go for it killer im excited to see what you come up with :)

Wow, I like it! Just make it so scanlines are behind the buttons andreduce the bevel on the buttons to about 50
EDIT: Actually, Dont put scanlines behind the buttons, just reduce bevel. I wanna see this finished =P
Yeah the one with scan lines looks the best but the buttons are going off the side of the sig on the right so try to move them over alittle.
Its a good idea. But if you were to build on that by haveing it go through the menus or even having it just type your name in it, that would be really cool.
Yeah that would be awesome if you got it to look like it typed your name out.

lol jp, i like it a lot, its pretty original, but simple. I think it would look a little more "real" if you spelt it without all caps, like [Vermilion]. Another added efect could be for the button to indent, as if someone were clicking it.
