Internet Connection?

What is your Internet Connection?

I'm currently on a shared T1/T3 connection from my school. Because so many people are on it, its actually slower than my DSL connection back at home. It loads pictures noticably longer, etc.

im on 2mb cable, i love it, ive never got cut off once since ive had it <3

All j00 people in england on blueyonder broadband, good news. if you have 512mb its getting up to 1mb, if your on 1mb its going to 4mb and wait for this.......if your on 2mb or 4mb your going to 10mb. Cool eh? :D

You mean 512kb, 1mb, 2mb, 4gb and 10mb, right ? Im sure you knew that and its just a typo :P Some companies, like BT, are working on a 1gb connection at the moment, that would be amazingly fast...

its been doubled twice so far, at the start it was 512kb, then 1mb, then 2mb :huh:

mine was like that too, when we bought it it was 1mb, then they stuck it up to 1.5mb, and then they stuck it up again to 2mb, but we&#39;re getting download speeds of 2.5mb-3mb hehe, im not complaining ;D

Im on cable, probably around 2-3 megs. Maybe higher, i dunno. I use a wireless connection.

NTL 3mb gets upgraded to 10mb by the end of the year ..the rest go up next year

I&#39;ve got DSL... I&#39;m not sure about the speed, but I know it&#39;s faster then our old satelite connection, and faster than any other Cable/DSL offers we have in our area.

Cable, I dunno if it&#39;s the fastest, but if it was my choice, T1. :D

Broadband means different things in different countries.

My speed is 1500Kbps downstream and 256Kpbs upstream, it&#39;s ADSL, but now they&#39;re rolling out ADSL 2 or ADSL+ or whatever you wish to call it. Lets you go up to 12000Kbps downstream.

In austrlia though, anything from 256Kpbs downstream is called broadband, which is a joke. In america i beleive it&#39;s illegal to call something broadband if it isn&#39;t faster than a min rate (about 1000Kbps i think).

Btw, T1 is an american physical connection tied to how their public telephone system works. I don&#39;t beleive T1 is avail in EU and I know it isn&#39;t in Australia.

If your going to talk about connections, mention what your upstream and down stream speeds are, as a sustained rate. Not in burst mode.
