Glowing Tentacles Tutorial

Glowing Tentacles ---Easy

1) Make a 400x400 document. Now press "D" on your keyboard to reset the foreground and background colors to black and white. Make sure your background is BLACK.

2) Make a new Layer. Now grab the Custom shape tool. Make sure you select a nice shape to use. Something with lots of waves in it. For example I used the Sun shape:

3) Now apply Filter>Sketch>Chrome and use these settings:

Duplicate the layer and set Darken as the blending option:

Press CNTRL+E to emerge the 2 layers together.

5) Almost done now apply these Hue colors to the layer (CNTRL+U):

6) Duplicate the layer again and now we want to Edit>Transform>Flip Horizontal. After flipping the duplicated layer we once again want to ermerge the layers together again. Once emerged apply these Blending Options to the layer (Right click layer and select blending options):

I used #00E4FF as my glow colors.

I did that but I duplicated the layer and put a twirl on it then merged it as lighten I kept doing this and this is what I got
( here is the link anyway, and if you want to do this you have to set the twirls to - and + numbers)

and if it doesnt have that shape for ps5 just copy the pic that ryysak posted at the start ;)

Did you press the "colorize" button ? Haha... just a simple tip... that was the only prob i had with this hue/saturation...
and dragon eye... u very "li hai" (good, terrific in chinese) like that also can find... maybe we should appoint you as ripper catcher...

( Anyone feels that dragoneye's sig looks like a cremating fire, the doors opening, revealing the fire that is to burn the body... but unfortunately, a dragoneye couldnt be burnt... nice sig, anyway)

This looks like such an awesome tut. and i wanted to try it, but well, for 1. i dont have the sun thing, and 2. when i tried chroming my shape (which was the corn-looking one) it looked nothing like the way you have yours. I cant see what chrome settings you used, so i just guessed at some, but nothing worked.
so my first question is where can i go to get custom shapes like that sun for CS2, and what were your settings for your chrome filter?
