No, RAM differs from comp to comp.

Actually you have 512 ram, just the CPU decides that a byte is actually bigger then what we consider a byte. Some CPU's do it, some don't.
Cool man. I have something quite similar. Accept mine has AMD athlon xp 3200+ (2.2 ghz).
Also im gonna be getting a gig of ram.

Dude, make sure there compatible ram. If you use two different kinds of uncompatible ram, you could fry your motherboard =(.

gigabyte turboforced 6600gt (thinking about sli'ing 2 7800gtx's)
also have a gnarly alien case and a 16x dvd writer
all up cost me about $1250 USD

When my warantee for my current pc runs out, im gonna get a new case for it. Then tear down this pc, and transplant it to the new case. =)

I didn't upgrade or anything BFG, that's how it came. So if the RAM's not compatible, that's not my fault. Haha.
