Ok, this sounds weird.
You have a picture with some transparent background, you know, with the grey white chesstexture. then save as a .png and you are done. I think, it works for me.
thats what I tried, but it ends up white.
Mmm, weird. don't know. what browser do you have.
its not the browser...
when I open up the .PNG file (even in photoshop), it has a white background.
i say just save it as a gif if the png isnt working like you want it to.
heres what i do...
1. open your file with a white bg in photoshop.
2. duplicate the layer.
3. with the magic wand, seelect the white bg and delete it.
4. select the bg layer and press ctrl+a. delete.
5. change the eraser to background eraser and rubb out your white bg
6. save as a .gif
yeah, but the problem is, my photoshop wont let me save as .GIF for some reason...
Same thing happends to me but mine is a gray color
There could be a problem with the version your using.
Try addiing .gif to your filename when u save it. should work then.
Or it coul dbe the colour mode you are on.. or some setting like that, because you can only save as certain files on certain colour modes i beleive. ( cyk , rgb , grayscale... )
Save it on RBG mode, or cyk.
Make sure the BG is transparent, it has a grey and white checkerboard pattern when it is transparent.
Save it as .PNG, interlaced.
thanks, I'll try that.
