I think he merged the render with the bg, so the rectangular box cannot go behind it. I did that once and it sucked, because I could change it. Though, he may have a .psd that he could change it on.

looks good, i don't dont mind the black lines, it's the color between the black lines that i dont like. also i think it would look a little better with a little more color ;)

Looks sweet! I like how you have you text in that little bar, I tried this a while ago but it didnt come out quite right. Nice job on thge scan lines as well, looks like they were blurred or something, gives a cool effect. This is what my signatures used to like like (sorta). Nice job!

P.S. I personally like the scan lines infront of the render.
