it's alright, still just an average signiture though.. very monotone and the font you used doesn't work .. the scan lines work but they arn't exactly the best andthe brushing is ok but it's just average random blobs and black and white grunge ... the render is ok, but i can see where some parts of it are cut out.
Deadloader, i have to say, i personally think your being too harsh, This is Ashiki's first ever sig, i think its awesome for a first sig, Everything seems ot blend nicely...Gj dude, keep at it :)
Fair enough. Font always seems to be a problem... what actually makes a font 'work'? And what do you mean when you say you can see where parts of the render have been cut out?
What other stuff have uve done?Quote:

Oh i just meant with other people work, too. Font always seems to be the one thing people critisize.
Test is normally a weak point of most GFXers.
The text is a problem for many because they try to make it too fancy.
I couldnt fit any text to my current sig without ruining the symmetry so i put it as a shape on the top.
You might want to try different solutions than blending it in the brushing.
yeah.
thats pretty good for ur first sig.
Ok. Thanks :) Do you think i should change the font then? I don't think it looks too bad...
harsh? how can i be harsh i'm telling the truth, as for it's his/her first sig, it doesn't matter ashiki asked for C+C and that's what he/she got (he/she because you can never be too sure ;) )
yeah it's nice but there are points i'd say to anyone who asks for C+C no matter how long they've been doing signitures ..
I think it'd be more harsh, dire to say i liked it and give him/her false information whereas telling him/her the problems he/she can better his/her self ...
Just out of interest are you female or male because this is rather annoying to anyone who is reading and anyone who types "he/she/it/that"
Anyway back on subject no more about this... be civilised
The font is nice, but it can be improved have a look around at some tuts and for something like this i'd go for a .. erm fantasy/elegant font but if you do i'd suggest removing the scan lines.
I'm definately female lol.
Thanks for being honest, hopefully i'll get better eventually... but i still like this one lol.
For your first sig it's AWESOME!, and even looking at it as a sig that wasn't your first it still looks really good.
Font isn't actually that bad IMO.
There's just a few things that you would have to do to make it really good.
First most sigs that are made atm need more than one color. Most common technic for this is multicoloring. But you can also leave the render ( your angel ) colors intact or if it doesn't have colors put some on.
Second would be to blend your render into the bg which in this sig it looks good without being blended since it's all one color.

This is what I mean when different colors, and since others though the font needed to be changed I gave an example. Not sure that it's better though lol.
Well it's extremely good for your first sig. Do you have prior experience with photoshop? Most people start out using filters and knowing almost nothing about blending.
To improve however, I'd definately change the text. If you ever can't figure out how to fit text into an image, it's usually best to use a rather simple font, leave it rather small (smaller than yours is now), and place it in the corner. You've done a pretty good job blending, though you might want to add more interest by making it less monotone and more chromatic.
she has.. joined in august here and uses a program like ps.. what was it called again? anyways nightfires version is alot better look out for his tips ( he owns sigs )
Wow o.o Didn't think many people would reply...
I WAS using a program called Serif Photoplus, it's basically a simple version of photoshop. But I have photoshop now so all is good lol. As for having prior experience... not really, i just read alot. This is the first forum I've ever actually posted in, but I have read just about every topic on alot of others lol. I take the comments made about other people's work, and try not to copy their mistakes.
I like Nightfire's version alot lol. As i have nothing better to do, i'll probably spend all day doing lot's of different versions with different colours. Will post them later. Thanks for all the replies and advice and stuff o.o
Admitting your a female is the worst thing you can do around deadloader
Anyways for your first sig thats damn good, did you use a tutorial?
But im not to keen on it :(
lol. Nope, didn't use a tutorial.
Yeah i prefere the updated version, the first was a tad bit too blue  :P
Very good work. Im liking the updated, and the older one. The blending is nice, you just gotta work on that text.
PS: Your welcome. ;)
yeah the update is awesome but the text is still a bit off :) nice work
Thankyou :D *totally ignores the text*
Much better...
Maybe you can bring the render's opacity just a litlle bit down so you can see the background...
Like this...? Doesn't look right to me :-S

no just keep it as it was.. although sort of nice... i prefer your second version
I think you have the scanlines to heavy other than that it looks extremely good :)
I can't read your name though it's to dark :(
Oh, I wanted to know is that the original color of the render?
Yeah, that's the original colour. Really not sure what to do with the text lol. Glad it's not too bad :-)
To make the text come out more, maybe you can make it white and add a white outer glow to it (right click on text layer --> blending options)
You can also make it a bit bigger...
I think the new colors work a lot better. Try those suggestions for text to make it even better.
Ok. Thanks for all the comments and suggestions, i never imagined so many people would reply! This is the final version... STILL not sure about the text, but oh well. Gonna have a go at making one for a friend now.

Yeah the text is clear now...
You can see it now!
