its definately differant ill give you that
You tried the tut i tried
i can see quite a bit what you did wrong though....
the bevell is the wrong way round, it looks like the lava holes are sticking up rather than underneath the metal plate
The brushing aint right on the metal...
and the orb thing doesnt look reflecting or like an orbat all... good try though
My shitty attempt:
lol the wires are so shit on mine

wait is that animated? it loooks like it is but arghh +kills eyes by staring at it for an hour+ maybe i'm just insane :P
looks good nice and simpilish but i would lose the animation or make it more meaningfull to the actual sig
oooo dutchdesigns? i love those kinda sigs... but you should put a pic in the big circle.
I don't know if its just me, but the light sorce in both the sig, and bens try at it have 2 seperate cources. one is from the right lighting up the metal background, and the other is from above in bens, or the side in wouwous. For me its just messing with my eyes, but i would say get the shadows and highlights corrected to 1 light source and not 2.
You've bevelled the bg layer. That's why the border is messed up. Make a new layer ontop of everything else, and get the marquee tool, right click, select all. Right click, stroke. 2px black =)
Thx all... And yes this tut was from dutchdesignz.com
And I'm working on the border... But I don't know anything I can use as a render... Suggestions?
EDIT: I added a border wich overlaps () the bevelled metallic layer...
Still need a render tough...
AHHH listen:
The bevel and emboss on the metal layer is up not down, it looks totally wrong with lava holes sticking up out of metal :o
And the orbs aint to reflective looking :S
Spent more time on this and it could be nice
It looks animated if you stare at the main orb :P
Lol... I got rid of the animation...
--> Anyone suggestions for a anime render?
some anime with BIG robots, like Gundam.
look man i like the sig but i think on the left u should add a bit of a light
thou u said that u working on the border i dono think that needs a border it is fine by its own
also i think the animation u have added is very cool
but the font dono stick with the hole img so try to change it find a tech font
also the colours in the background i think that they r 2 light try to darken them a bit
also i like the wires r perfect for me
I think that u could add one more layer and add some render there try to play with it and do it like coming out of the metal
u have the core u have lava (in my eyes) the only thing that missing is the melting metal or the shaped metal by the temparate
lol.............................
to me, i still findthe light souirces to be wrong. there whouls only be one, or it doesnt look right.
you have one from the right [casting shadow ont he left side of the metal]
one from the lower right [casting the highlight on the top left of the holes]
and another from top left [casting the highlights on the lower left of that major hole]
Hey man I like it. Looks great. Nice to see something different.
Thx for the C&C... I'm going to work on it latr this day, coz I've got a lot of homework... I'll edit this post when I'm done...
EDIT:
Here it is:

I have changed the bevel and emboss...
Think it looks better now B)
Yupt he bevel's fine now. YOu need to put that in your sig though :P Heh. THe halflife figure looks ok.. but .. i'm not sure, something about him.
Yeah he's looking a bit freaky
I'm probably going to make a movie sig of it... Coz I had some problems but I'll post it in a topic... You'll see it ltr :)
Ace. You should put all of your sig changes in the first post. It's kinda easier to see the progression then.
hmmmmm........ original. but in my opinion i dont really like it. its well done thts for sure, now tht you have fixed it. but i like sigs with brushing not my kinda thing. but good job.
No I didn't mean the sigs  But the problems I had with importing a .mov... It's solved now...Quote:
