@thread title:
zomfg of course it snows in australia! :D
i actually went snowboarding at perisher blue last summer (winter in aus)
My question is do the toilets really flush counter-clockwise down there?
no they dont, the coriolis effect (the thing that causes storm systems to spin the other way) doesn't effect such a small space enough to cause them all to spin the same way, it more depends on the shape of the bowl.
Really?
Wow.
Thats a nice little bit of trivia there.
I've seen snow in Australia once - but sure it does snow here. Is it like, a generalisation that Aussies live in constant +20 degree temperatures year in and out? That's degrees celsius, farenheit is silly >_<
What Ryzee said pretty much covers it lol @ Tas not being a part of Australia U know what they say about tasmanians :P
And @ snap - my whole form was supposed to go on a skiing trip there last year except our year co-ordinator got pregnant (somehow I pity the poor fool who is the husband to that whining anal stuckup b!tch) and didnt want any "injuries." For our own safety bullshit. Sorry, it's infuriating ^_^
That woulda been my first time skiing on snow not water :(
@ Switchblade: dude, that sucks. i hate it when you get patrionized by teachers, and they make up some random shit just so they don't have to take you somewhere or do something you might actually enjoy.
and the toilet thing: http://www.loc.gov/rr/scitech/mysteries/coriolis.html
wow . I'm going to live on the equator ! :D
