I really can't judge on this one seeing how I have neither a 360 or a PS3.
But what I am going to say is this.
My money's going with the PS3.
Sony announced Sunday that they will not be releasing it next month.. but rather November.
This gives them time to work out the bugs in the system, distribute enough systems so people can get them, and it will be like $200 cheaper than the anticipated price.. while Microsoft did none of these for 360 except for the crappy 'no hard-drive' system.
Plus I'm one of those Anti-Xbox - Pro PS2 guys.
MGS4 will own.
HA I WAS RIGHT ABOUT THE RELEASE DATE. And i posted that about a month ago.
They're going from £400 to £260 in england i think.
I just generally prefer Sony, seeing as i don't play online...
If i played consoles online i would get an x-box. But meh.

I hate xbox360, its a piece of shit. It overheats, and its just as bad as the origional xbox. The only reason everyone says its better is because...Is the PS3 out yet? NO. So how the hell can you say which is better.
Im going with PS3 sence i loved PS2.

Im the xbox 360 part, has mine overheated, no? is it as bad as the original xbox, no. Do you know how good the ps3 is, no, have you got a 360? dont think so (:lol:) So unless yo have been on it for at least 20hours maybe you don't know its potential...

I agree with you 100% The x-box 360 myths are exactly what they are myths.
I love my 360, it allows me to use my pc basically, in my living room.
Its all media stuff, mine has staisfied me (yes in that way to ;) ) pretty much 98%...
Only bad thing that has ever hapend to me is that it has crashed a few times, which has been my fault anyway, i was playing music, chattin to two people, while loading a gamercard and sending feedback....
same here, god i love my 360, only overheated once.. because i hadnt turned it off for the past 3 and a half days.. this thing is great when it comes to long term playing lol. the bad part bout the 360 is.. well the games are pricey now.. they'll go down a bit probablly later.. but the total cost of my games is more then my 360 (and i got the HD one), i got like.. oh 400$U or 450$USD worth of games... overall its great, apart from a few games wanted to go the the trouble in mass rendering... so you get minute long loading screens... *cough*pgr3*cough* hah.
and also the games on the old platforms that are also on 360, play and look 10x better then the old ones (THAwasteland, Cod2, KKong, etc).
Im against comparing systems before anyone knows the whole story. I see something happening that was similar to what it's been like the past 5 years or so between Microsoft and sony, only now the xbox has the headstart. I think it will be a very close slice to which system owns.
Who knows maybe nintendo will shake things up this time around?

im in australia and the 360 dont come out here until march. but! i do work for a large computer goods shop and we set one up yesterday. on a 120cm widescreen plasma with surround, the thing looks like poo, like bad!
i was expecting so much! but to be honest nothing impressed me in the slightest. Tony hawk looked no diff to the way it does on xbox. Call of duty 2 and Gun looked like pc graphics from 2 years ago. really really dissapointed.
this has made my sway towards the ps3 even more! but lets hope im not as dissapointed with that as i am with this.
damn it. I can't belive i had a PS2 and an Xbox360. I must get rid the sony console.

The 360 is new, nobody knows it full potential, it took developers 2years to get 90% of the Xbox's potential, think of the difference between early xbox relseases and the likes of late relseases.....
The same as what will happen with the 360... You expect developers to be able to whip out great looking games in a few month?
