Thought this deserved its own topic.
Well, apart from the mayan theory, there is a scientific explanation. Around 2 million years ago, the ice age started. It supposedly finished 12000 years ago. Now, during the 2 million years of ice age, there were inter-glacial periods. These periods lasted 12000 years.
Do the math. Im not saying a load of ice is gona sweep over the world over night, but it is going to happen, maybe not in our lifetime, but somewhere in teh next 100 years.

Not necesserily.. probably slightly more then a hundred seeing as humans fuck everything about. And the cycle maye have changed etc.. + they did not have the phenomenon known as PIE back in them days..
then again we're also overdue for a switch in the earth's magnetic feild, and a major extinction. :)

Well really in my opinion, humans have been a major factor in the worlds climate, and it would be no surprise if the inter-glacial period this time around is significantly reduced.
But then again, the earth is warming up more than it is cooling down right now hehhehee, but the fear of a global cooling is still ever present ;)
What is the math? What are you evne trying to discuss here?
