Yea, my Internet is going a little faster. It was going pretty slow before <_<
It sped up my browser very slightly. I'd say its worth it, but still not that much faster.
My mom refuses to let me get Firefox. She's like "I don't know anything about it and it could wreck our computer for all I know"
Please post all of the Pros and Cons of Mozilla Firefox so I can convince my mom.
its the best browser out... built-in pop-up blocker....skinable and NO GAPING SECURTIY HOLES, like IE
Firefox Home
Tweak is working like a charm considering i only connect at 26.4 kpbs a sec i'm seeing a big difference in loading times. Thanks Taco!!
No spyware, tabbed browsing, very similar interface to ie (if you know IE, you can easily figure out FireFox), hundreds of useful extensions, better form manegment, better password manegment, the list goes on and on.
I will add more as I remember more =).
I used to have it , have any of you ever used msn explorer, i used to play an online game and it like hafled my refresh time , but it has a horrible layout <_< ..
I was watching this programme last night and the guy said, now i'm going to tell you some of the best browsers. Then i said: I bet he says firefox then oopera.. and he did O.o hehe. Yeh i might get firefox again, i had it at one point... then my dad reset the whole pc <_<
I might get it again it was really good ^.^
hahahahah.......lol.... THAT was hillarious....*sighs*.... well let's start by IT'S FREE.... IT CAN ACTUALLY RENDER CSS2(not like some other browsers *cough**cough*)......IT PROTECTS YOU FROM SPYWARE (so it is less likely to get adware)... and last but not least IT WON'T WRECK OFF YOUR COMPUTER.....
well they are all pros... i don't think firefox has any cons
EDIT: there's always gonna be some microsoft addict that's gona tell you IE is better but it's not....... as far as opera goes... they're the same but firefox is more customizable, but opera is a bit faster...... maxthon and avant are IE ripoffs so they're gonna have the same rendering problems....
Hmm that speed up thing works quite well, although i couldn't find the last one on the list... oh well
thank god for The Fox.....
my aunt JUST got a BRAND NEW comp and got I.E.
and had like 30 pop-ups in the matter of minutes...
she won't listen to me and download The Fox...
I'll give it about a week or 2 till she gets a virus...lol
GO FOX!!!!
true.. it sure speed things up, thx :P
wow thanks for postin this...i'll def try it out
i love firefox
I'm gonna have to beg to differ on that one.Quote:

it says:
But i cant find the User.js ?! any help plz ?Quote:
You may add this option like so:
Open up user.js in your firefox profile and add the following:
user_pref("nglayout.initialpaint.delay", 100);
I just go firefox so i havent even instaled it.
Hey guys!
I just found a nice little program to tune Firefox.
Cool, but before I get it tell me if it works well.
Well it works pretty well. But if it isn't, you can resore you setting with a single backup.
In other words: You got your bases covered. :D
can anyone send me the file user.js with the spec we have to create written on that????
Great dude ^^
Thx
Pretty good. It was helpful.
HUGE DIFFERENCE! Seriously it works now so much faster with out so much delay or anything... Thx a bunch for great tut :)
Thnx man, its so much faster now! :D .
wow thats sweet. Go FF GO!!!
weird i cant find that nglayout.initialpaint.delay thingy :o
weird i didnt really notice anything different or does that nglayout.initialpaint.delay thingy plays the important thing of making it faster?
Oh, My interent is really slow, Im suppsoed ot get 3Kb/ps but only get 1000. .>.<
it my config page doesnt seem to have this line "browser.turbo.enabled"
Just got the Fox, works well though I think they took out the "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" line since the original posting. I still will keep IE for Nostalgia, my parents and because I'm a hardcore Microsoft nut.
I figured it out you have to add the "nglayout.initialpaint.delay" line by right clicking anywhere on the About:Config Page and selecting new>Interger.
I got firefox the week it came out :P
and as for the speeding up thing, I did that about a year ago, and it's still working good for me. The only problem with the pipelining, is that when you go to a site, it sends 30 requests to it, which means the site is sending the page to you 30 times, which will in time make the website a hell of a lot slower. IT happened on the site where I first heard about this. The site had about 1m members, and was going smoothly, until everyone knew about pipelining, and then it was a lot slower from then on.
Just a warning that if everyone keeps pipelining, some sites will end up being a lot slower.
