I knew something similar, but that gradient gives it a whole new grearness :) Thanks man keep 'em coming :D
Your my PS Idol
thanks ben i hope this helps with your sigs in the future, i usually just open up the psd for my metal texture squeeze it into a sig, then u have got a great background already. Then u can start putting indents on it like that other tutorial, wack in and orb and your done.
Excellent tutorial, and an excellent current sig :)
That's very nice. Great tut :)
wow, nice tut. awsome o_o''
i really like that. it has a nice brushed aluminum look to it.
how long did it take to make your sig? i just started using PS last week and your sig looks SO complicated to me.
nice but colors used for the gradient would be nice to know :D
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(Vermilion @ Mar 31 2006, 06:48 PM) </div>i agree about the colors. i tried this tut last night and my result was quite a bit darker in spots. any chance of giving us the colors used?Quote:

here you go..
You may have missed a step, even with similar colours the result is usually very similiar, ive tried it over a few times and always get the same result.

My sig took quite along time, the guns took the longest mate i did them in a different document before i put them into a sig
I made a much simplier format of this tutorial ages ago. Ah well, good work ;)
ive seen quite a few tutorials around where all you do is add agradient then a then noise then motion blur to look like brushed metal. Ive been learning metal techniques for a while now and imo this one is more realistic than most out there.
Its great for all sorts especially backgrounds for signatures etc.
sweet i am sure i will use this :D
Nice tutorial but kinda basic isnt.
