God, why have so much pain in life?

Over 90% of life is spent suffering, in unenjoyment, grief, depression, etc. If God was real, why would he make everyone feel so much pain?

I came into this world, unwillingly, my parents made me come into this world. Does that mean that I should spend the rest of my life in depression because I didn't have the choice of living or not?

Also, people on other threads are saying God created the universe. We don't even know the whole universe yet, if it ends or not. So until we see the whole universe, and discover all it's secrets, and how it was created, I will be saying Science is still finding out how the universe was created, not God.

I really dont like most christian fundamentals. Because correct me if I'm wrong but dont christians beleive that Jesus will come back down to earth and save use again? If thats true does that not mean we can do whatever the hell we want, and cause as much greif to the world as possible, then just wait for Jesus to come down again??? Also the reason there is alot of sufefring in the world is because there are always people looking for dominance over others. And the reason God doesn't intervene?? Because he doesn't exist.

First of all, (IMO) God is not real, how can a 'man' create the world :mellow:

And 90% is bullshit, its all on your attitude towards life, if you have my attitude, dont really give a shit about anything, you only get depressed an hour a week after alcohol :lol:

It's a phase. Believe me or not, but most people go through the same thing in their teens. Life gets better.

I won't talk about buddhism here, because you'll probably just ignore it and think i'm preaching some hippie nonsense.

(some) Christians believe that Jesus when Jesus comes back (again) it will be have been that all we did was fuck around and that he did in fact die in vain. But really I dont care, I believe that all religion is a worldwide cult without the "special" punch provided for us. Live your life learn things for yourself and deveople your own ideas (watching chris rock in Dogma changed me). i think most of life is spent suffering as well (i dont think its 90% for everyone) but thats because the good parts are so much better. now if you do what i do, which is not have ANY "good" times what so ever, you wont suffer because there wont be any lows to compare to the highs and u will live your life in a constant state of contentment. as for god he is an asshole(srry for offending anyone) but when one angel develops his own mind god kicks him out of Heaven, that angel was Satan. ok, im done ranting.

oh, and btw one of my goals in life is to learn about every religion so i can make up my mind about what "is" right and remember the Devil was an Angel too.

Have you ever read the book "The Giver"?

Its really weird, and describes a futuristic world without evil or any worries, and everything is perfect. Everyone looks the same, acts the same, lives a boring orderly life, etc.

The book "Uglies" also shows a world like this, but a bit more complicated.

I'm generally presuming you dont read a lot, but you should really read these books.

They really show people like you how lucky they are to have imperfect worlds :P

Really who desides what is "good" and what is "evil?" I mean everyone has a general moral sence of what is what. But there are those who dont have the same morals as us. Also there are those that believe the ends justify the means on the other hand there are people who think the ends NEVER justify the means. The Subject of "Good" and "Evil" is such a grey area considering most people think of them as black and white. I mean look at the radical Jihad terrorists, they believe that America is "evil" a great evil that must be enlightened or destroyed. If you ask me they have a point, but its not just America. I think Hitler had the right idea he just F*cked it up by discriminating. We should just kill everyone but a few un-tainted people and start over.

but that brings me back to who desides what is "good" or "untainted?"

yea i kinda agree with you. i dont think god is real. its just a concept that people have in mind. or lets say jesus was actually there but over the years the whole story got exagerated and people started to make stories about it. i am not a christian, i am a hindu but i dont really believe in god as much like some people do. they think god is there and he is controling everything while the thing is that WE are controlling. do you see? we cut forests and many species become extinct. thats not god who is doing that. thats us! people say they saw god in their dream or they talked to god in real life but does anyone eer believe them? has that ever been proved that someone did actually talk to god? see where i am going? its all just a concept in peoples mind that god exists. if you think that you control what happens in your life, you have to work your self up, than you will think that its right, god doesnt exist. it all depends on what you do to get what you want. you can see that in many people. they are successfull in their life because they worked hard and earned what they have. they dont give a shit about god.

I don't hate god i don't even have any judgement of god... but what i can tell you is all these christians should be put in prison.. christianity is like american society, it chooses what it sees as good and evil. Hundreds of years ago a man was jailed for saying the earth was not the center of the universe .. so to say a being created all life on earth, surely this is not as farfetched as what this other man said.. but then it's all about belief.. and taking in what katgirl said, as everyone is different we all have different beliefs and so nothing is right and nothing is wrong, look at this as a simplistic example...

religion was made up years and years ago when people wanted answers. it's a security blanket so people can feel assured they have some place to go when they die.

but when there's all these different beliefs what are we supposed to believe in?

even tho i dont believe in god, all i know is...when youre "laying on your deathbed" so to speak. and you know you have 10 seconds left to live... is this "god" not the last thing that pops into your head?

just a thought. it's what my mom says to me. she doesnt like me being agnostic. as a matter of fact. i kind of believe in karma. not "what goes around comes around" .. but balance.
