What are your opinions on MySpace?
Is it fun, stupid, cool, annoying? Tell me your opinion.
I think that it has its ups and its downs - thats true. It can be fun for a bit but it gets old quick. I've actually met one of my girlfriends on there, it worked out pretty good.
Here in Swindon it's basically what the cool kids (( emos / scene kids )) use to talk to each other where everyone else can see them. And all the younger kids can try and be cool...
Basically a network of scene kids trying to look even cooler and more 'original' with their posing pictures, tighter and tighter girls trousers and more posey pictures.

Well if you dont know/want to learn HTML i think its fine, it allows dumb people to have a site.
If you know HTML or want to learn i think you smell.
If your really lazy like me just make a template and shove things in, or get a freeblog
I think it's handy. Let's me keep in touch with people easily. I can keep up with what my friends from highschool are doing, 3 years later.

I don't have time to talk to them. Just time to say hi and see if they're doing something. that's all. aim means you have to find their s/n, assuming they keep it for more than a week. then wait for them to get online, then find their name and start a conversation. with myspace i can just search their name, post a comment and hear back from them whenever. it's quick and easy.Quote:

ok i think that myspace is a awful thing to tell you the truth. the only thing i do like about it is that i can talk to other tattoo artist and industrial designers and get their input.
I use myspace, hell my myspace is in my sig. But then again Im a american High School kid. I personaly dont consider myself a "SCENE KID" but I might be. I do find alot of people annoying and almost EVERY FUCKING BULLETON has NO REASON to be posted in the first place. I use MySpace to talk to my friends that I dont really get to see all that often. And I agree with unit_number_43 on the whole AIM/MSN thing. I also use MySpace to find and hear new music, But I dont do that so much anymore mainly because of Pandora Radio. It also saves me a shit load in txt msgs and min on my cell phone.

MySpace does have its ups and downs. It gets old fast, but it's another good way to keep in touch with your friends. Also, almost everyone has it, boy is Tom lucky!! All that moeny brought in from ads. ;)
By coolkids they're the ones that have alot of "wannabes" following them round. and they think they're cool, and deny it. So it looks even more like they are to the wannabes.

Meh, ill never get a myspace. And its not tom thats gettin the money, its rubert murdoch, the owner of the site. Way to many people have a myspace, i think the L.A. times said something like 68 million subscribers. I don't think myspace is going to die anytime soon though. Facebook or somethin like that is being sold for 4 billion dollars, in case you don't know its like myspace for college kids. Murdoch bought myspace for close to 300 million and i don't think hes just gonna let it go. But ill still never get one.

yea i like myspace, is so much better in keeping in touch with friends, even family, got a cus in the military, and this is like the easiest way to keep in touch with him

Myspace is for people who cant handle social situations in real life so they use the internet to try and communicate, its just so crap. Along with Bebo and Fagworld all those kind of sites just suck.

I think MySpace is awesome. It's a great way to get online friends, and it's also great because like every band has a MySpace profile, were you can listen to their music. If I'm interested in a new band, then I can simply go to http://www.myspace.com/thatbandz0r and listen to their music, which is great. I mean, even the local underground hardcore bands have a MySpace profile.
I don't use it though. I DO have a MySpace profile though, but it's old.

if you dont like the layouts myspace gives you, if your alright with css, you can use a div overlay to cover it up and have a blank to maye your own layout, if you arent so good with css and still want this then pop over to http://5thirtyone.com for a template, much cleaner look...www.myspace.com/sammasson

I have a piczo site, mainly because it allows me to easily have a site without having to wrroy about ddesign, coding, hosting domains etc. etc.
Dont even need to use photoshop, all i need it for is to keep in contact with my mates and put some info up ;)
I see Myspace as one of the most pointless website ever spawned from the pits of cyberhell, it takes over peoples lives worse than crack, just use MSN, AIM, or yahoo messenger instead.
Also MSN, AIM, and Yahoo aren't filled with emos going "OMG THANKS FOR THE ADD!"

I never gave in and got a myspace. The only one I've ever looked at was my friend's older brother's band, AnchorClose, one.

Deadloader, I have tried myspace and did not like it, so it's not like I've never tried it and just hate it.

Its an easy way for people to keep in contact with you.
I dont have a blog or anything like that but i do have a website where i post pictures and stuff for my mates and a place where they can contact me if i aint on MSn and stuff like that.
I also use it to meet new people in my area, because you can link your friends pages if that makes sense. Ive ended up meeting a few people ive met off there and they are all decent people, i met my GF on there. Sounds a bit sad yeah but i don't care.
Im guessing that is what some people use MySpace for so i dont really have a problem with it :P

i'm a musical artists...some of my best friends are...and we have gotten more exposure than we could ever get juss sittin here at home tryna be cool and avoid myspace...so i think myspace is a wondeful source for artists juss like places like soundclick
myspace is just to show ur pictures off and meet new people if people wanna do it who cares but tom sure is making a flippin killing off of it which i think is ridiculous cos the site isnt even that good one week and its boring
