It looks great since it's your first try, love the bg and the font :D the pattern looks good to! great job :lol: 8.5/10

looks good to me, maybe don't cut off the numbers at the top
m8, that is VERY good just maybe make the text a light blue
other than that its great :)
i mainly got help from illegalx17 cause he had brushes an that, before that i didnt really know how to make tech sigs.. i jsut changed the color and added sum stuff adn the text

You got that right. I never believed in taking someone else's work, putting your name on it and calling it yours was..great...If you took the render and added some finer brushes and gave it some blending into something else then ya..but..the render alone is just someone else's and adding tiny changes to it doesn't show much.. :(Quote:

yeah basically he got a render pack which this guy was letting peeps download, he added sum random tech brushes that i couldnt b bothered downloadin and then i did the rest, its like 2/5 mine, 2/5 the guy who did the render and 1/5 illegals...
he only told me afterwards that the render/bg wasnt his...
I think you atleast have to make 3/5 of it to call it your own... that's just my opinion but...
Understandable :). But still, take away the render and you only added a few tech brushes and your name. If you gave it some blending into some fancy background brushwork then cool..but it's too much of someone else's work I say. :(

anyway i only wanted to try out my skills at making a dull image into a cool sig and i would say i suceeded

sorry... i think im gona make a proper tech sig tomoro, ill download a tech set and try to make a render on bryce 4, hopefully olde will hav that tut up on how to amke the spinning thing as well...
The only thing not mine in my current sig is the render. I made the rest myself including the background, text work, border and border animation. You basically just took someone else's work and put a brush and text on it. I stated before, if you actually put more work into it like blending the render with some fancy brushing then ya..it would be better.. but take that away and all you did was add a tech brush and your name..so..can't really comment on anything else. ;)Quote:

You cant call it yours if you didnt even make the render, thats what makes a tech sig man... Thats pretty much a rip, adding brushes and text, big deal.

very very nice, great job, out of interest, which brush pack did you use, i would really like to get those tech thingys on mine.
whoa whoa whoa. . .i wish i read this thread earlier and saw what people were sayin about me! ok, heres what i did, i took this guys render, true, but the only part that is his render is like the right side a lot. i also put my render on overlay, screwed around with the settings, and spent a long time brushing. yes, most of the bg is me using a combo of lighting brushes, abstract brushes, and fractal brushes. then i did the tech work and voila! i thinkyou should give me more credit for it. it wasnt as easy as your makin it out to be guys.
also, when he asked me for a tech sig, i thought he was gonna use it, i didnt think he was going to add a border, text and a pattern and say its his first tech sig! i mean how the heck is that his first tech sig? he added a 3 px black stroke, a pattern, nad his name. i just did some abstract/tech work for him and then he added like nothing and claimed it his work and he gets the glory and i get flamed? whats up with that?????
edit: im sorry dude, i didnt mean to go that hard on you, it is an awesome pattern and nice text, i was just really mad at that time
its ok, as i said im not using as a sig picture, i jsut wanted to experiment with effects to make wat didnt look too good - very dark green to wat does look good with a nice text, is there anything wrong with that???
its not like ive taken it and said its totally my own work and used as my sig - im not actually gona use it
oh and illegal i think we are both getting flamed and im getting no glory...

WTF!?!?!?!??!?!?! THIS is the part that pisses me off!!! how the hell is it 2/5 yours and only 1/5 mine?!?!?!?!?!?? people are favoring YOU more than they are ME in this!!!! i blended the bg and renders and a bunch of stuff, you added text and a pattern!!!! i also used one o fmy render, i would say its more like 2.5/10 that guys, 7/10 mine, and .5/10 yours. im not tryin to be mean, but it just made me mad when you claimed more glory than me!
