1 1/4 hours is "speed paint" ...? ;D
anyways, i really like it. it's simple and it leaves room for the imagination. i like the way you've faded the black. it gives it sort of a ghost aura. i kinda like it. it's actually very inspiring...was there a theme or particular image you were trying to convey?
overall, swell job, keep 'em coming and post more work! (forum whore ftw...:D)
:EDIT:
After writing this, i realized the text in the top left...awesome title, i really like it... :D it's exactly what i had in mind... :D
ya, its really impressive. i wish i knew how to speedpaint, but i dont :s i love the color pallette, its a great piece. kudos!
I'm liking the foreground alot man, that's pretty wicked. Looks like soldiers running past the cave in the distance slightly ^^ Schexy texture :)
Ja thanks, a speed paint for me at least is around 1hr. muha, since most big paintings take like 10+ hrs. It's all relative to the painter.
I was satisfied with the textures, but I was a bit chuffed cause the 'soldiers' are like dots :)
Thanks for the comments.
no no, the "soldiers" are great, my favorite part of the work!
phantamines, chuffed means really pleased ^^
Yeah. a speedpaint to me .. is .. well... the style alot, and time limit... could be under 2 or maybe even 3 hours really :) depends :D
you know, i thought those might have been soldiers, but i wasn't sure. that's what they were/are in my mind, but i guess they were supposed to be soldiers! :D they're my favorite part of the piece too!
shurai.. will u explain exactly how u do these things.. i wanna start trying to do them.. hoping u can help..
but back to the piece i love it.. imagine if u spent more time on it
i tried to do it, and it's REALLY fucking hard. this piece inspired me to try something, and photoshop quickly UNinspried me...
lawl.
You good at doodling? :) That's all it really is, don't try to make it perfect on the first time. Who cares if theres a minor mistake, start off with large brushes and work your way down.
The default hard brush is the most versatile, it's your best friend. But don't be restricted to it. Other brushes add great texture, some make great leaves with scatter etc in brush settings.
Make more with less strokes, don't focus so much on detail at first.
Know your colors too, I'm still working on that forforlfr. I tend to make things too oversaturated and end up ctrl+u saturation down so the colors aren't so intense.
I love the cold colors you used. I also see it in more than one way. I think it's "OSIM" lol.
i like left side of the first plane and a "fog effect" :D
imo you should make something with that sky. looks bad ;s
This looks majorly incomplete, but still awesome ^^ you should spend another 9 hours on it :P
Reminds me of war for some reason, like an urban area devastated by war tanks and rapid gunfire. Very cool
me <3 shurai!
this totally rocks and it reminds me too of what antidote said so it's way neat
ahh ive just listened to the song =], the dears FTW, awesome painting...fitting =)
