A part of my garden, at night. Didn't want to sleep, so I went out in the garden to try some stuff out that I haven't been able to try with my analog camera.
Haven't changed the colors or contrast for this. I think they came out pretty well.
How I did this:
I took a flashlight (a big one!), set the exposure time to like 25 seconds (compensating a bit with the aperature) and then, while the camera was shooting, I pointed the flashlight towards the chair and the ground, from different locations, so that there would be no hard shadows, like those you get when you use the camera's built-in flash. This way, I could get light exactly where I wanted.
I know you wanna sit in that chair. :)

hah nice methood, though the image itself seems a bit lacking in my eyes... in other words... a tad too plain... just feels like somthing big is missing. (btw i love the color XD)

Thanks for the comment. I don't feel that anything big is missing.. :S If I threw in something more I could just ruin the composition I think. But I might aswell redo this shot later on, with someone sitting in the chair. :]

it might just be me, but i think the chair should be facing... towards the empty space (left of your image) it would direct your eye back and forth... i think thats what i felt... like the image just cut off with the chair being right next to the side of the photo... try a few more shots... i belive having a different angle on the chair would help alot.
I see what you mean, but I wanted it to face that direction. The apples fall down behind the chair, not in front of it. The person who usually sits in the chair faces outwards. Hard to explain, but I think it gives a totally different view on the picture than the way you want it. Though, I think your idea is good too, but it's not how I wanted it. :P Thanks for the comments!

I like it, it looks very meloncholy, but in a good way. The picture shows that a person once sat there, and maybe they can't sit there anymore for some unkown reason....
Wow, that was vague

The lighting is exceptional. It brings out all the right colors, and leaves room for the viewer's imagination. Great job.

BFG: Yeah, that's what I thought too. But it was running kinda late (around 01.00 in the night) so I just wanted to take the shot and get it done with. Maybe I can remove them and redo it this weekend.

I could imagine sitting in the chair, and a zombie reaches up from below and grabs my ankles. Hmm...

I dig that photo, just like everyone else. And just like everyone else, I think the lighting is wonderful. I think I like the chair facing outwards better than forwards, too, unless you had someone in the chair. Then I think facing the tree with them hunched over, you know, no face. But since there's no person, outwards is better. Anyway...uhh...ramble ramble ramble...great job...again. :D Keep it up.

I absolutely love the effect. It's the best ever. I think the apples and the chair makes it just more perfect. They both makes the colors look so lovely. Really breathtaking. Do you figure out these effects yourself, or do you learn them from other people ?

Thanks! :D I figured this out myself. Later my dad said that it's called "painting with light", I think. I should experiment some more with this..
