Anybody here fight on a regular basis? Anybody have fighting tips? I'm considering joining a fight club that's going on in my area... the rules are pretty much just no face and no weapons.

First and second rules of fight club is you don't talk about it.
Bring weapons and challange everyone. Then you kill them.

Haha, true dat. Reasons why you should not join a fight club:
- Fighting makes you look stupid
- Fighting sooner or later makes you stupid
- The girls will think you're stupid
- You'll probably get broken ribs and when they ask you about it, you sound stupid when you say you go to a fight club
- If you accidently get a head blow that crushes your nose, you will look stupid (literally)
- You'll regret it later, thinking about how stupid you were to join that club
I've been thinking about this to toughen up. "Fight Club" is kinda stupid, per the reasons rabies put out. Some of my friends and I were thinking of starting up a fight club, but we had some other rules we were thinking of such as mouth guards, nothing below the belt, etc. I think that it'd be better to just use boxing gloves, because those still hurt like shit, you are just less likely to get a broken nose in the first fight. I do want to do that to toughen up though, good excersize too :P
Just boxing... seriously... boxing will get you SO Fit...

hes right lol i thought i was in shape, my friend got some boxing glvoes.. maybe a minute into it u'll be tired as shit lol.. its a good workout.. next day ur sore as hell
Well i'm not conditioned, but I'm active and I'm "fit" in my mind. I'm bulking right now so cardio is bad for me, and equally I am falling slowly out of shape, but once I'm done and I start cutting then I'll be doing HIIT and be back in shape in no time.

Yeah, my friend has a ring in his backyard (he's an inspiring pro wrestler at age 20, don't ask) and I boxed a friend this summer. Good lord, it's pretty easy hopping around a ring, but try doing it for minutes on end while being punched in the gut; not so easy.
And the seemingly long break inbetween rounds, lasts but milliseconds to the dazed boxer in the corner :p
i respect the fitness boxers are in now.. i always thought they look kinda unfit some of them ha
what was previously said... just box. Box 4 rounds of crazyness and I guarantee you will be wiped.

i unno some just look out of shape, i have friends that look more in shape then some of them but after a few minutes of boxing their on the ground trying to breath lol.. btw illegal its godcomplex
I think it would be good, as i don't care for concequences (yet) and fighting is ace. The adrenaline is great, everything just blacks out apart from you and the other person.
It won't be public and the club isn't well-known. I also won't be telling people about it.
Try to stay on topic, this is about fighting not boxing. I've begun developing my technique by fighting a friend of mine (starting with boxing gloves, may go bare-fist later once we've both gotten better). My main goal is to be aggressive and constantly be the aggressor; if I'm the one throwing punches I won't have to block them.
I heard that originally the plan was to have an elaborate sword fight. But either Harrison Ford or Steven Speilberg (I can't remember which now) had diarrhea so they cut it short by having Indiana just shoot him.
Fight Club is teh ghey. Good movie, stupid idea in real life. You want to get in a fight, do what everyone else has been doing for the past 3,000 years. Get drunk, start talking trash, and get beat up outside a bar.

Do it the the way people in a town near me do , because most of people from there are tiny, they get about 20 of them and jump some innocent person then brag about it thinking they are hard lmao

I haven't been in a fight for soooo long and I can't say I miss it. I didn't start my fights, either, there was just a group of kids who didn't like me. Since we're all talking about boxing, did anybody ever wrestle? I understand that boxing matches are longer and more than likely more tiring, but still...wrestling? LoL. I did that shit for a while. Makes you feel manly crawling all over a sweaty man! Hell yeah it does! Cuz we're men! Macho! Gyah! But, no, I try to avoid fights whenever possible. Although, if it comes down to it, I'll be willing to get my ass whipped.
Mmm i'd say wrestling is less 'manly'. There's nothing to be gained from hitting a man whilst he's on the floor, pinning him down etc, :p if you get me sorta?
I dunno my friends and I all box crazy and you get so wiped. My friend just slept for like 20 minutes after one of our matches, i think he got a small concussion lol. I would never bare knuckle for fun. The way we box, bar knuckle would prob last a lot shorter though. I dont know why you'd want to knock someone out or get KOd or break a nose or lose some teeth. I must say Red im agaisnt this one.
My friend and I, when we were younger, would setup a strobe light and box eachother. It's insanely fun, but usually ends with "OW! turn on the lights, I think I broke my hand on the wall!"
I wrestled and did alittle boxing as well. Wrestling is much harder. In boxing, there's alot of movement, but you can conserve your energy. In wrestling it's all out for the whole time. By the end of the match you've completely exhausted yourself and can do nothing but sleep. If I was going to compare the two to other sports... I'd say that boxing is like a running a 10mile race, while wrestling is like sprinting a mile.
When I was in high school I used to fight more often than I do now. Once I turned 18, I had to change the way I act because in the US I was considered an adult. If a kid gets in a fight theres a slap on the wrist, if an adult gets in a fight there can be much bigger problems.
I fought in school with at least 1 person every year since 6th grade.
You know what i was saying about people near me?
tonight me and about 6 mates (including girls) got hit by lads tonight, We were stood there and about 20 asians come over by suprise and hit us. Got hit 3 times for no reason, can't wait untill i find out their names, hah they will be burned down.
thats same sort of thing happened to me and my friends, we were at a party and about 10 or so persians showed up and just started hitting people. they ended up getting the ass beat out of them but...yah...fighting is stupid, unless you need to defend yourself haha

Mmm i agree, although there's nowt wrong with fighting as a sport, aslong as you ARE a sportsman about it. :)
Some pointers:
1.) Keep your hands up at all times. Protect the head and torso first, Legs second.
2.) Keep moving. If you stop, you're dead.
3.) Don't hit people in the balls unless they're almost out of it already. It'll hurt them bad, but when they recover, they're gonna beat the crap out of you if you deliberately try that.
4.) If you can break limbs, go for the knees and the arms first. If possible, get an arm bar on them. An effective arm bar can make it impossible for them to hurt you at all. You can make them quit by doing this. If you can't do that effectively, knock their knees in. At very least, hit them there. It will slow them down.
5.) Stay light on your feet. Speed can give you an advantage over sheer power.

grab your sniper, aim for the head....then after the kill is made
yell HEADSHOT really loud...aaand then run cuz theres proably going to be a lot of people after you, you might want to lay low for a while, i suggest an abandoned farm or something to the same effect....
weeks later after it all blows over you can come out and everything will be good again
repeat as needed
