I didn't vote because the only one that involves skill is Counter Strike....halo 2...sheesh...that is a luck game

havent played half life 2, halo 2 takes skill, depending on what your playing, and counterstrike takes no skill, its dominated by hackers and most of the time its just who's shot hits the head first. sometimes it takes skill butmost of the time its just a more focused version of spray and pray
thats true about conterstrike..
but you called this best fps of all time - those entries are jsut from last yr - shouldnt there be a other option?

yeap half life 2 hands down. Doom 3 is good but makes me soil my pants, and is annoyingly scarey. Far Cry is an awesome game as well. Hell, they are all good.
GoldenEye is better then them all. Mwahaha.
I'd go with HL2 of course.
And also, I think Counter-strike takes skill (or doesn't) depending on how serious of a player you are. If you play with a team like in scrims or matches it takes personal skill as well as teamwork and strats. While in pubs you can run around and randomly kill people, with no pressure about winning or losing.
lol are you kidding? theres so much skill involved in cs. theres movement, placement, aim, sound, controlling your spray, spam spots. theres much more to cs that you could never experience from a pub.Quote:

Half Life 2, no competition.
goldeneye is a good game, and rchocobo, it does take skill, but you'll rarely ever find a game with actual skillfull players, normally there will be at least one hacker or shotgun whore. when i play it at internet cafe's and stuff tho, its awesome. on the lan only games its hella fun and awesome so you have a point. but in some points its still a lot of a spray and pray game. i played with this noob and he got a lucky shot with an ak and killed me. also when i first started playing i ran around randomly shooting and got a headshot, the thing about i that i dont like is the randomness of the headshots, its like you can scope in on their head, but you still have a 50/50 chance of actually gettin a head shot, so when theres a bunch of pros running around that all can get perfect headshots, its a game of luck buddy. . .
Ive got all those games except halo 2 and i think they are all realy good games, especialy half life 2. But i still play RTCW and still think its the best, dont know why but i just like it! lol.
If Counter-Strike counted as Half-Life 2, then Half-Life 2 ;)
i pickeed Halo2 cause its so much fun to play with a bunch of friends with a system link, But the best FPS of all time isnt on here, its Goldeneye for N64!

those are hardly a good list of fps, the original hl is way better than hl2 i think..
i think cod:uo is the best fps :blink: actually it kinda sucks but thats the only one i play <_<
