Oshit XD this thing is a year old, damn ive been gone too long, my new posts is this big... sorry XDDDDD
Lol I'll be the odd man out and say you need to work on your technique, you pencil lines (directional wise) are too visible, you need to work on tonally shading so it appears more blended as a whole, this isnt really needed for graphite work, but since I see you do some colored pencil it will definitively improve your final outcome. Most people are skilled enough at shading with graphites it doesn't matter, but either way it will help you out. Also, I couldn't tell from the image, but try learning undercoloring, its a colored pencil technique in which you start from darks and layer over them lightly keeping the tooth of the paper intact, afterwards you take a color (what you want to show the most) and use it as a tortillion to push all the color from the tooth into the valleys of the paper making the white blotches go away (whats in the lower end of the tooth is called the valley, its what shows white when you shade lightly with a color)
