What truely made me mad when I heard about this was that they didnt put the university into lockdown after they heard about the first shooting. The first shooting wasnt far away and they should have at least warned the students to stay indoors. And actually, when the three students barricaded the door, the gunman was able to open the door about 6 inches but the three students were able to re-shut it and thats when the gunman fired at the door - according to a student who was part of those three and had been interviewed.

i got so depressed reading about this on the headlines a couple of days ago.

Personally I think the general public doesn't need to see all this crap. The media's now made the guy a damn celebrity.

Now, what really makes me sick is that the media, within the first few hours of breaking the story, started pointing fingers. Lockdown the campus? You've got to be kidding me. The guy who was covering the two murders was just a rent-a-cop. If there was a shooting at the gas station down the street (which there was near me the same day), they're not going to shut down the neighborhoods surrounding it.

How were they supposed to know that the guy who did it was walking over to the other building with two pistols in his pockets? They couldn't have, and it's ridiculous that people start blaming others right away.

What's going to happen now, and I know it will within the next year, is some kid in high school's going to see that guy's picture where he's holding both the guns and think he looks pretty cool. That kid probably won't do anything about it, but someone will. People will deny that the upcoming shooter had any connection with this week's massacre, and I'll shout bullshit at the top of my lungs, even if I ruin my family's thanksgiving dinner doing it.

There'll be a copycat because the media gave him what he wanted: attention.

And he set a new record, another phyco will want to beat that.

I just think its overall FUked up, and i think eveyone agrees.

Columbine.. was how many dead? 10...12...? this guy took 32 with him. What's next, 50? 100? 1000? It's never going to end. The world is full of naturally fucked up people. Eventually they'll just all off themselves, it's really a shame that so many have to go with them.

whats really, REALLY pisses me off is they couldnt detain this asshole before get managed to finish him self off. he deserved to rot for the next 70 years in solitude, beatings every hour on the hour, and the bare minimum of food required to survive. as soon as you disregard the rights of another human being by killing them, or removing their rights in the way he did, you i believe should be treated worse then any creature on this planet should be treated. one day, i hope one of these fuckers gets caught before he can off him self, and i pray that person becomes an example for all others.

Actually shootings/massacres arent as bad as they used to be when massacres used to be in the hundreds or thousands...but thats long ago. Damn society sucks these days, media can rot in hell.

Now there will be a huge debate not only over games and music but our second amendment...there always is when there is a big shooting like this.

He just a fucked up douche bag. People tried talking to him but he never said a word. After watching the video tape, his roommates said that was the first time they had heard him talk. One of them even said it was the first time seeing his eyes. God this shit fucking pisses me off. He was fucked in the head; stalking kids and had the police called on him 5 times for being a weirdo.

One Professor survived the Holocaust only to get shot threw the door while barricading it so his students could go out the window.

There were so many warning signs that this could happen. His morbid writings, stalking, anti-social behavior, etc. Why didn't they send him to a mental institute?

Fair enough make US news, but it shouldn't be on the headlines everyday for a week in England, as it is...

i know, it's just plain annoying this will go on for months and then in about 6 months there will be a mention of it in relation to something else, some reporter trying to milk it so much cows everywhere are gasping for air.. which inturn make's me want to go on a killing spree..

yeah, you cant just commit people to mental institutions for being different, this guy obviously had a problem, but there are many others with the same warning signs, but the chances of them going to shoot up their school or workplace are slim. it takes a certain string of circumstances to send someone over that edge.
