Hmm i dont think you placed the render right, and the text needs majour work, bg colors are very monotone.

anyway have any idea how to make the text better?

dont put blening effetcs like bevel and eboss or gradients. just leave em simple fonts.

Scanlines = A no no for most sigs.

IMO the text is too big...

I agree remove those scan lines they dont do any good for this sig and if you absolutly want em then atleast remove them from the render. The text Is actually awful big, The text can easy ruin a sig, dont make it that big and obvius

Exactly, When making a sig, think of your text as a Render. You don't want it sticking out too much, or too camouflaged. Needs to be just right. Blended in, but still noticeable.

Also... Remove the scanlines from your gigantic text. The sig BG is okay with them. But Scanlines can ruin your render and text, as they have in the sig in question. So take it back, and at least bring the main render layer, and the Text above the scanlines, or erase them, Or just get rid of them all together.
