There is my Ironman sig, thanks for the help from Ratchet. I actually enjoyed making this sig, CnC if you want to :)

Not bad you picked up alot of techniques in this. :)
nice effects
Thanks
did u invert the ironman render
Nope
it came like that?
Yea it is one of Ironman's earlier suits.
Cool! I like the effects on the sides it looks like springs and whatnot you might see in a robot.
This is pretty good however i think you could have gone with a smaller canvas. You have a lot of negative space in the sides, and it gives it sort of an empty feeling.
The effects are nice but the first thing i noticed is Ironman is VERY oversharpened. ANd everything else is blurred a lot. I think you should tone down the sharpeneing and then unblur some of the effects. The trick is to sharpen iron man and a few bits of the effects, leave most of them the same and the blur a couple. That way it's even in depth.
I think you need a bit more help on the blending. It seems you smudged him around a lot, but you only smudged a little bit and erased everything but that small bit. Normally this wouldn't be a problem but the transition for black to smaudged around ironman is not very smooth and in turn doesn't blend very well with the sig. I think you should smooth out the darkness to smudge.
The text is a bit big. And I think you could have done without the clipping mask. The clipping masks make sit so that a bit of the text is really bright and a bit is almost too dark ot see, it's pretty jumbled. I think i would like the solid text better.
I think you need a lightsource, this seems pretty dark and i think it would liven up the background a bit.
LAst but not least, coloring! I think you should use a few more gradient maps or soemthing. The effects are all different and wild colors, red, yellow, puprle, blue, brown. It's too much. You should make it go with ironman a bit more using photofilters color balances and gradient maps.
ALso, where'd you get that render? It's sweet.
I like the sig though, it just needs some touchups.
Lol you weren't joking bout a long critique. Actually I didnt sharpen the render at all, thats how the render is; maybe once but I slightly erased over the render. As for the smudging I thought the same thing, I will probably go back over it and smudge it a little less; as for the colors I wasnt sure what colors would have gone well with the render but maybe, I could use a few more gradient maps. Also there was a lightsource, at the bottom middle; maybe I could make a new layer above it all to make it more visible. But yea I will try all those things later on, maybe today or tomorrow; And last but not least I got the render from a wallpaper I cut it out myself, I wanted to use an older version of the suit instead of the red and gold one like everyone else was using; something different. Ah of course almost forgot the text, was trying a clipping mask effect cause I thought it went well with Ratchet's sig, but couldnt find the right look on my sig; so maybe I will just use normal text and probably set it to soft light/overlay maybe? Not quite sure I need to work on text alot.
Edit: also I was looking at the sides, and noticed that maybe if your resolution on your screen might be large, such as 1600x1200 you cant really see the details on the sides, but on the comp I am on now I can notice the little details there are.
Edit again: I just realized I typed all this without looking at the screen/keyboard; was watching CSI: Miami (Woot Horatio is dead, never liked his character) so; sweet :P

Alright heres the newer version, what should or could I possibly do with the text?
A little bit too much blurring for me. i can see what you done though. you should have set your gradient map (imma assume thats what you did put on) layer a little lower just to get that effect that you wanted. and then maybe darkened around your render, and THEN blurred. that way it wouldn't look so blurry. i can see what your going for though. maybe what you could also try. is to back up a few steps, before you added the gradient, and the blurr, and maybe add a few cloud brushes around him, or another c4d render, to give it more detail, and to make it less contrasted. then do everything again, and still turn the blur down a bit. overall night sig, just that one thing for me i don't like. good job though =)
Also for the text. yea like ratchet said, take one of the main color in your picture, and eye drop that, and use that as your text color. try moving it in a little closer to your character too. it kinda draws the viewers eyes away from the detail that you want them to see. in a little and up a little tiny bit. shoud fix it up ;). nice font choice btw. i really like that font. waht is it?
lol why does everyone keep saying something bout blur, theres a blur layer but its at like 20%. Im not sure if a cloud layer would look good, may mess up the background a little bit; but could give some things a shot; as for the contrast, its really the render, thats why I brightened up the background as well; thanks for the tips though. As for the text thats what I was thinking of doing, just cant get a right color (too many to choose from :P) and none of them really seem to fit in. I can see what font it is later on, think it might be a windows font.
Kk I could see where you were kind of talking about it being a little blurred Gamak so I deleted the layer, looked better without it. As well tried to find a good color for the text, may still need some work, but the position I think is good.

Also, the font is just a windows font, Aerial Bold I believe it was.
nice good job i like it
WAYYYYYYYYYYY better dude. Nice fuckin job. text is a little hard to read. you should try one of his chest colors. sorta poppy. and maybe put a outerglow on it. that should spice it up. ;) gj though way better.
Yea I was trying to find one on the render, just it seems like it was either white or black, but maybe if i can get a nice smooth silver color and such will make it better. Thanks for the tips though appreciate it alot.
Should I possibly current it?

Fixed the text, tried to find a nice light color (closest I could find) and added a light outerglow.
still a little hard to read i'm not gonna lie. it is better than before though. see if you can just...move it out a tad. and see if that changes anything. don't put it to far cus it'll draw away from the picture. if that doesnt work..take a burn tool or something, and burn behind the text, just so it'll stand out a little better. gj though =)
Probably add a lightsource behind the text. Im not sure, not in the mood to do any graphics stuff right now, probably work on it tomorrow because I have nothing to do then.
GJ dude. nice outcome. =)
Kudos on using the old silver suit.
muahaha. >_>
